TP-Link brought a smart baby monitor with two lenses to the Czech Republic. It detects crying and analyzes baby's sleep Home News TP-Link introduced the Tapo C840 baby monitor with dual optics and 2K resolution Offers AI cry detection, motion tracking, and baby sleep analysis Costs 3,999 CZK and works without any subscription Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 20. 10. 2025 08:30 Advertisement TP-Link has expanded its range of smart Tapo cameras with a new model, the Tapo C840, primarily aimed at parents of young children – thus, it is presented primarily as a baby monitor. The new product combines high-quality image, artificial intelligence, and practical features that help monitor a child more safely and with greater peace of mind. In our market, the new product is available for 3,999 CZK. Main sensor with 2K resolution accompanied by a telephoto lens The baby monitor is equipped with two lenses – a 2K (4 MP) wide-angle lens for an overall view of the room and a 1080p telephoto lens for a detailed view of the child’s face. The camera can rotate 360° and tilt 114°, ensuring parents don’t miss anything. The intelligent motion tracking feature also ensures that the child remains constantly in frame. Artificial intelligence that truly helps The built-in AI can recognize a baby’s cry, a covered face, or leaving a defined safety zone. The camera immediately notifies of all events via the Tapo app, without the need for a subscription. Thanks to the Safety Fence feature, parents can set virtual boundaries to know when the child moves outside the safe area. Features for peaceful sleep and better overview The Tapo C840 offers two-way communication with noise cancellation, playing lullabies and white noise for easier falling asleep. Night vision uses invisible infrared light that does not disturb the child, and the smart night light can be controlled via the Tapo button or directly from the app. An interesting feature is sleep analysis, which monitors the duration and quality of rest and generates daily and weekly reports from the data. The camera can also automatically capture photos and short videos of important moments – from first smiles to first steps – and save them to a microSD card (up to 512 GB) or to the Tapo Care cloud. Security and easy smart home integration Privacy is protected by physical lens cover, adjustable privacy zones, and 128-bit AES encryption. The camera is easy to install – it can be placed on a table, wall, or attached to a crib. In addition to the Tapo app, it also supports voice control via Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Samsung SmartThings. Have you ever tried a smart baby monitor?
