At IFA 2025 in early September, TP-Link introduced the travel router TL-WR3602BE, which stands out primarily for its compact design and support for the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard. The device has now also appeared on the manufacturer’s Czech website, indicating a possible arrival on the domestic market.

Pocket router with speeds up to 3.6 Gbps

The TL-WR3602BE offers dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with a total speed of up to 3,600 Mbps. The router features a 2.5Gb WAN port for internet connection and one gigabit LAN port for wired device connection. Its compact dimensions allow for easy carrying in a pocket or backpack while traveling.

Seven different connection modes

The router supports seven operating modes for various situations. In addition to a classic router, it functions as USB tethering for sharing mobile internet, supports 3G/4G USB modems, can create a hotspot, or work as an access point. It also offers range extender and client modes to extend an existing network.

VPN security and file sharing

For secure connections, the TL-WR3602BE integrates support for OpenVPN and WireGuard, which will be especially appreciated by users working on the go. The router includes a USB port and a TF card slot, allowing easy file sharing between connected devices without the need for cloud services.

Power from a power bank via USB-C

An interesting feature is powering via the USB-C connector, which allows the router to operate from a standard power bank. This means the router can be used even in places without an electrical outlet, such as when camping or during long journeys.

Availability unclear for now

The TL-WR3602BE has appeared on the Czech TP-Link website, which often precedes an official launch in our market. In the United States, the product is listed on Amazon with a regular price of 139.99 dollars, which translates to about 2,900 CZK. So, it’s not exactly a cheap gadget. If the router were to reach our market, after adding tax and other costs, it could be several hundred crowns more expensive.

Would you get a miniature Wi-Fi 7 router for travel?
