This year, the Galaxy S26 Ultra received a feature that no one else in the world has. Now with code ALZADNY20 it comes out to 28,552 CZK, and if you trade in an old phone, the price drops to 25,052 CZK.

👍 Get it if you want a powerful Android, the most versatile camera setup, and an S Pen built into the phone.
🤔 Hesitate if you have last year’s S25 Ultra – reviewers agree it’s more of a refinement than a revolution.
💰 Price: 28,552 CZK with code, 25,052 CZK with trade-in bonus.

A display your neighbor can’t see into

Privacy Display is a world premiere – and unlike stick-on films for a few hundred crowns, it’s built directly into the panel. Black Matrix technology directs light from the pixels forward, so from the side, others will only see a dark screen, while you see normally. It’s activated manually and can also be set only for specific applications or incoming notifications – on a tram, plane, or in a doctor’s waiting room, it’s a feature you’ll start using immediately.

The privacy mode did not diminish the display quality: the 6.9″ LTPO OLED with 1440 × 3120 resolution and 120 Hz achieved 1,480 nits in automatic mode and over 2,800 nits in a small area. An anti-reflective DX layer was also added, which, according to reviewers, significantly improves outdoor readability.

Photographically, it’s the most versatile setup on the market: a 200Mpx main sensor with an f/1.4 aperture (the brightest aperture the Ultra has ever had, letting in 47% more light), a 50Mpx wide-angle lens now with autofocus, a 50Mpx periscope with 5× zoom, and a 10Mpx telephoto lens with 3× zoom.

Performance and charging finally up to par

Unlike the base S26, the Ultra has Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in all markets. Samsung promises up to 39% higher performance, and in practice, this means the phone can handle everything, including demanding games.

Charging has finally improved: 60 W wired charging gets the 5,000 mAh battery to 75% in about half an hour, while wireless charging handles 25 W. For video creators, the new APV codec is interesting, which Samsung describes as visually lossless – the recording does not degrade with repeated editing.

Where reviewers deduct points

The main criticism is the design, which has practically not changed since last year. Furthermore, criticism repeatedly appears in discussions that the base version has only 256 GB and 12 GB RAM, and that the 3× telephoto lens remained at 10 Mpx, which is a weaker link compared to the rest of the setup.

Technically, the panel does not have 10-bit color depth (it’s an 8-bit with FRC) nor Dolby Vision certification, which some competitors offer. And while the Super Steady Video feature is technically impressive, reviewers doubt most people will use it.

None of this, however, changes the overall picture: the lightest and thinnest Ultra in history, S Pen built-in, seven years of updates, and a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from three hundred nineteen customers.

Does it bother you when people look into your phone on public transport? Would you use a privacy display?
