Two popular POCO phones are getting HyperOS 3! Don't you have one of them?

Xiaomi is preparing to expand the availability of its latest HyperOS 3, built on Android 16. Following the update for the flagship phones of the Xiaomi 15 and 15T series, it is now targeting a pair of popular models from the Poco lineup – the F7 Pro and F6 Pro. According to XiaomiTime, both devices already have a stable global version of the system ready, which should be released in the coming days.

HyperOS 3: Faster, Cleaner, and More “AI”

The new system version brings not only the Android 16 foundation but also Xiaomi’s typical modifications. According to the manufacturer, HyperOS 3 is designed to be faster when launching applications, more memory-efficient, and, most importantly, more integrated with the ecosystem – from smartwatches to home devices. Features with artificial intelligence support (AI Preview, AI Erase, smart transcriptions and translations) have also been added, which are gradually expanding from Xiaomi 15 models to other devices.

Which models have already received HyperOS 3

Xiaomi has so far released the update for several devices:

• Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15T (including Pro and Ultra variants)
• Poco F7 Ultra
• Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro

According to the plan, more than a dozen devices are expected to receive HyperOS 3 by the end of 2025. These should be followed by the Poco F7 Pro and F6 Pro, and later their base variants without the Pro suffix, and the Poco X7 series.

What Android 16 will bring to Poco phones

In addition to design adjustments and optimizations, HyperOS 3 will add new AI camera modes, an improved notification panel with quick action options, and enhanced data security. Xiaomi has also worked on compatibility with Wear OS and device-to-device sharing features within the Mi Cloud ecosystem.

The Poco F7 Pro and F6 Pro themselves, which are among the most powerful models in their class (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 / WQHD+ displays), will thus receive a system that will better utilize their performance and improve power management. The first users from global distribution should receive the update via OTA during November 2025.
