A compact projector with an RGB laser at a price for which models with a significantly weaker LED source are usually sold. You can currently buy the ViewSonic M10 on Alza for 13,990 CZK instead of the original 25,290 CZK – that’s a discount of over 11 thousand crowns. For this price, you get RGB laser technology, which you would otherwise find in projectors costing multiples of this amount. Check the current price and availability in the product detail on Alza.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you are looking for a portable projector with top-notch colors for movies, series, or summer outdoor cinema.
⚠️ Consider if you need 4K resolution or plan to use the projector as a TV replacement for daily viewing – it’s Full HD and 550 ANSI lm.
💡 For 13,990 CZK you get an RGB laser with BT.2020 coverage, autofocus, a battery, and a USB-C input – at the original price it was good, at this price it’s exceptional.

RGB laser in pocket format

The main advantage of the ViewSonic M10 is its RGB laser technology – three independent laser sources (red, green, blue) aim directly into the optics without the need for a color wheel or phosphor. The result is significantly richer and more accurate colors with 100% BT.2020 standard coverage. According to reviewers, the M10’s colors are visually more convincing than those of significantly more expensive projectors with a classic laser source. A brightness of 550 ANSI lm (2,200 RGB lumens) is sufficient for projection even in partial daylight, although you’ll want to draw the blinds in a fully lit room.

Practical aspects: focusing, ports, portability

Thanks to the ToF camera, the projector automatically focuses and corrects keystone distortion within two seconds – just place it down and the image will adjust itself. This also works when projecting from the side or onto the ceiling (rubber feet on the back). The foldable stand holds at any angle. Ports include HDMI 2.0, USB-A, USB-C (supports direct connection of both iPhone and laptop), and Wi-Fi for wireless mirroring. The built-in battery allows projection even without a power outlet. The system runs on Android with access to the Apple TV app, Netflix, and others. The speakers are solid for a compact projector – an Alza user praises the sound as one of its advantages.

What to expect

The resolution is Full HD – for diagonals up to 120 inches (3 meters), the image is sharp and detailed; on larger surfaces, you will notice the pixels. If you need 4K, this is not the projector for you. The brightness of 550 ANSI lm is above average for a compact projector, but you won’t achieve a cinema experience in a fully lit room. Reviews on Alza are currently only from two users (5 out of 5), so more extensive feedback is missing – however, a user from Plzeň confirms the quality image and lightning-fast autofocus, mentioning only lower brightness as a compromise.

Verdict

An RGB laser projector for 13,990 CZK instead of 25 thousand – that’s an offer that doesn’t appear often in this category. The ViewSonic M10 is ideal as a portable projector for movies, summer outdoor cinema, presentations, or as an addition to the bedroom. Colors are its biggest strength. However, if you need 4K or a projector for a very bright room, look for other models. You can find other projectors and accessories in the current Alza Days.

Do you have a projector at home, or is a TV enough for you? How do you use projection in the summer?
