Want a new TV? Here are 10 models that are most worth buying right now

February’s Alza Days brought a wave of discounts on TVs across categories. Some models dropped to half their original price, while others reached historical lows. We went through the current offer and selected ten TVs worth noting – from affordable QLED models to premium OLED and a giant 98″ screen. For each, we tell you what to expect and when it’s worth looking elsewhere.

⚠️ For most models: native 120 Hz is only available on LG QNED93 series and OLED models. Others interpolate 120 Hz.

Cheapest TVs in the overview: under CZK 11,000

1. CHiQ M55QN9G – 55″ Mini LED for CZK 9,432

The cheapest item in our selection, but certainly not a bad one. The CHiQ M55QN9G for CZK 9,432 with code ALZADNY20 offers Mini LED backlighting and QLED technology – a combination you won’t find in this price category from any major brand. It runs on Google TV, has 4K resolution, and most importantly, a 4-year warranty thanks to Czech production in Nymburk. The original price was CZK 11,790.

For whom: You are looking for a solid 55″ TV for watching movies and series and don’t want to spend more than CZK 10,000. Users praise the black color quality and system speed.

Watch out for: The refresh rate is natively 60 Hz, 120 Hz is only interpolated. The built-in sound is weaker – count on a soundbar. 2 GB RAM may limit system fluidity over time.

2. TCL 65T69C – 65″ QLED for CZK 10,980

Probably the best diagonal/price ratio in the entire overview. The TCL 65T69C costs only CZK 10,980 with code ALZADNY25, while the original price was CZK 19,990. In addition, you get 6 months of SledováníTV (value CZK 1,500) and an extended TCL warranty (value CZK 3,990). The panel is QLED with an anti-reflective coating, Google TV, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.

For whom: You want the biggest possible picture for the least amount of money. A great choice for the living room for movies, series, and sports.

Watch out for: Native 60 Hz – 120 Hz Game Accelerator only works in Full HD. Some users reported system stuttering, but newer firmware reportedly addresses this. USB recording and headphone jack are missing.

Mid-range: CZK 16,000–20,000

3. TCL 75T69C – 75″ QLED for CZK 16,792

The same model as above, just ten inches larger – and the price drop is even more significant. The TCL 75T69C dropped from CZK 29,990 to CZK 16,792 with code ALZADNY25. For less than CZK 17,000, you get a 191 cm screen with a QLED panel, Dolby Vision, anti-reflective coating, and Google TV. The rating on Alza is 5.0 out of 5 (from 4 customers so far).

For whom: You have a spacious living room and want a large TV at a reasonable price. Ideal for casual viewing and sports.

Watch out for: Same limitations as the 65″ version – native 60 Hz, 120 Hz only in Full HD. Maximum brightness of 350 nits won’t impress in a glass-walled room.

4. LG 65QNED85A6C – 65″ Mini LED for CZK 17,243

For those who want more from a 65″ TV than basic QLED, here’s the answer. The LG 65QNED85A6C with code ALZADNY25 costs CZK 17,243, the original price was CZK 32,990. Mini LED backlighting, 144 Hz in gaming mode, Magic Remote included, and a guarantee of 4 WebOS updates. The matte surface is suitable for bright rooms.

For whom: Console gamers (PS5, Xbox) will appreciate the true 144 Hz with VRR and G-SYNC. Those who want a more sophisticated system and control than TCL.

Watch out for: The sound is only 20 W – a soundbar is practically a necessity. One customer questions the number of dimming zones in Mini LED – LG does not state this number, so let’s assume dozens rather than hundreds.

5. Hisense 85E7Q – 85″ QLED for CZK 19,971

The largest diagonal for the least money in this overview. The Hisense 85E7Q currently costs CZK 19,971, the original price was CZK 29,990. For twenty thousand, you get a 215 cm screen with a QLED panel, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, plus a free Antik TV subscription. It has 52 ratings on Alza.

For whom: You want the biggest possible picture for the least amount of money. 85″ for twenty thousand is simply an extreme size/price ratio.

Watch out for: The panel is natively 60 Hz (120 Hz is simulated). Direct LED backlighting without local dimming – black quality does not match Mini LED or OLED. The VIDAA system is less widespread than Google TV.

6. Samsung QE48S90F – 48″ OLED for CZK 19,992

Entry into the world of OLED for twenty thousand. The Samsung QE48S90F with code ALZADNY20 costs CZK 19,992, it cost CZK 35,990 at launch. NQ4 AI Gen3 processor with 128 neural networks, 144 Hz in gaming mode, FreeSync Premium Pro, G-Sync, PANTONE certification. The rating on Alza is 4.9 out of 5 from 26 customers – 100% recommend it.

For whom: You want the best picture quality and don’t need a large diagonal. Ideal for a bedroom, study, or smaller living room. It’s also great as a gaming/work monitor for a PC or Mac.

Watch out for: 48″ is small for larger rooms. The Samsung Tizen system has a narrower app offering than Google TV. The minimalist remote control lacks number buttons. OLED may lose to top MiniLEDs in brightness in an extremely bright room.

Higher league: Mini LED with full features

7. LG 75QNED93A6A – 75″ Mini LED under CZK 30,000

One of the most interesting discounts in the entire overview. The LG 75QNED93A6A is sold on Alza for under CZK 30,000, while at its launch in June last year, it cost CZK 59,990. Even at the end of January, the price was still CZK 44,990. Compared to the cheaper QNED85, the 93 series offers a higher number of dimming zones, better contrast, certified 100% DCI-P3 color volume, and 40W sound with Dolby Atmos.

For whom: You want a large 75″ screen with native 120/144 Hz, Mini LED backlighting, and a sophisticated LG system. An excellent choice for a bright room.

Watch out for: Weight 25.7 kg without stand – you’ll need help for wall mounting. Mini LED still doesn’t achieve OLED contrast. For a similar price, you might consider a smaller OLED.

8. LG 85QNED93A6A – 85″ Mini LED for CZK 39,893

Same series, just ten inches larger. The LG 85QNED93A6A reached CZK 39,893 with code ALZADNY30 – the original price at launch was CZK 79,990. For less than CZK 40,000, you get a 215cm screen with Mini LED backlighting, native 144 Hz, four HDMI 2.1, G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium, and Magic Remote. A TV that would have cost over CZK 70,000 just half a year ago.

For whom: You want a truly large TV with gaming features and native 144 Hz. Suitable for a spacious living room where 75″ is not enough.

Watch out for: The TV weighs over 30 kg – wall mounting requires a robust bracket (VESA 600×500). For smaller rooms, 85″ is excessive. At a price around CZK 40,000, it already competes with cheaper OLED models.

Premium category: OLED and giant Mini LED

9. LG OLED77C54 – 77″ OLED for CZK 49,343

A classic that needs no long introduction. The LG OLED77C54 is sold for CZK 49,343 with code ALZADNY30, the original price was CZK 70,490 (even CZK 89,990 at launch). Alpha 9 AI Gen8 processor, 144 Hz in gaming mode, four HDMI 2.1, G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, and Magic Remote. On Alza, it has a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 81 customers – 100% recommend it.

For whom: Movie enthusiasts and gamers who want a large OLED with perfect blacks. The C series is LG’s gold standard for price/performance in the OLED segment.

Watch out for: The built-in sound (40 W) is weaker for movies – a soundbar is practically a necessity. The new remote control has no numbers or a dedicated mute button. In a very bright room with direct sunlight, reflections may be visible on dark scenes.

10. TCL 98C7K – 98″ QD-Mini LED for CZK 59,490

And finally, a colossus. The TCL 98C7K with a 249 cm diagonal currently costs CZK 59,490, at launch it cost CZK 124,990 – less than half. QD-Mini LED with 2,048 dimming zones, brightness up to 3,000 nits, 144 Hz, four HDMI 2.1, and 60W speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen. For those who want a home cinema without a projector, this is probably the closest you can get for this money.

For whom: You have a spacious living room (viewing distance 3–4 meters) and want the largest possible picture with premium features. The 60 W sound with B&O tuning is above average – you might not even need a soundbar.

Watch out for: Weight over 50 kg, wall installation requires a robust bracket and at least two people. It’s too much for smaller rooms.

Which TV to choose: a quick guide

Ten TVs is a lot, so let’s shorten it. If you want the cheapest possible and largest picture, go for the TCL 65T69C for CZK 10,980 or the Hisense 85E7Q for under CZK 20,000. If you prefer picture quality over size, the Samsung QE48S90F with OLED for CZK 19,992 is probably the best price/picture quality ratio in this overview. For gamers who need native 120+ Hz in 4K, LG models are the best choice – whether the QNED85 for CZK 17,243 or the QNED93 under CZK 30,000. And for those who want a home cinema without compromise, the 77″ LG OLED for CZK 49,343 or the 98″ TCL for CZK 59,490 are exceptional offers at current prices.
