We’ve been learning more and more about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A57 in recent weeks. The phone previously appeared in the Geekbench benchmark and has now also passed Chinese TENAA certification, which traditionally reveals complete specifications before the official unveiling. Thanks to this, we have a clear idea of what the successor to the popular Galaxy A56 will offer.

Thinner design and proven display

According to TENAA certification, the Galaxy A57 will measure 161.5 × 76.8 × 6.9 mm and weigh 182 grams. Its thickness of just 6.9 mm makes it a slimmer device than its predecessor. The front will be covered by a 6.6″ Full HD+ display (1080 × 2340 pixels), which should utilize AMOLED technology. An in-display fingerprint reader is also present.

New Exynos 1680 chipset

Under the hood is an octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.9 GHz. Although TENAA does not specify the chipset name, an earlier leak from Geekbench confirmed it will be the Exynos 1680 with Xclipse 550 graphics. In the benchmark, the phone achieved 1,311 points in the single-core and 4,347 points in the multi-core test. Compared to the current Exynos 1480 in the Galaxy A56, this represents approximately a 15% performance increase.

Samsung should offer two memory variants: 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB. The phone will run on Android 16 with One UI 8 out of the box.

Triple camera setup without major changes

In the camera department, Samsung is unlikely to make significant changes. The rear setup will include a 50Mpx main sensor, a 12Mpx ultrawide lens, and a 5Mpx macro camera. The selfie camera will offer a 12 Mpx resolution.

According to earlier speculations, the main sensor could be a Sony IMX906. The same sensor is reportedly also used in the cheaper Galaxy A37, which would represent a significant step forward for it compared to last year’s model (which has a much smaller optical area).

Battery with 45W charging

Power will be provided by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, as confirmed by previous 3C and TÜV certifications. Both capacity and charging speed thus remain at the same level as its predecessor.

Will we see it in February?

As we previously reported, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil the Galaxy A57 along with the Galaxy A37 as early as February 2026. This is unusually early – A3x and A5x series models typically arrive in March.

Regarding software support, similar care can be expected as with the Galaxy A56, meaning six major Android updates and six years of security patches.

What do you think of the Galaxy A57 specifications?
