If you use WhatsApp for daily communication, you surely know the feeling when you return to your phone and have dozens of unread messages in various conversations. Precisely for these situations, Meta recently introduced the Message Summaries feature, which could only summarize one chat at a time. However, a new Quick Recap feature has now appeared in the beta version, capable of processing up to five different conversations simultaneously and creating a clear summary of them.

How will Quick Recap work?

According to information from WABetaInfo, which revealed the change in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.21.12, using the feature will be very simple. Just open the Chats tab, select up to five conversations, tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner, and choose the “Quick Recap” option.

The system will then process unread messages and generate a concise summary of them, so you can quickly understand what was discussed in each conversation.

Thanks to encryption and isolated Private Processing computation, the company guarantees that neither WhatsApp nor Meta have access to the original data or the generated summary.

When will the feature appear?

The Quick Recap feature is currently under development and will be available in a future update. Even if you are a user of the WhatsApp beta version 2.25.21.12 for Android, you cannot try the feature yet.
