Wi-Fi 7 router for two thousand! This ASUS is on a super sale Home News ASUS RT-BE58U with WiFi 7 dropped from 2,999 CZK to 2,099 CZK with discount code ALZADNY30 It's a dual-band router with speeds up to 3,600 Mb/s and a 2.5G WAN port for gigabit connection Users praise the range, stability, and speed up to 1 Gbit over WiFi 6, but miss 2.5G LAN ports Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 20. 10. 2025 10:30 Advertisement An interesting discount on the ASUS RT-BE58U, a router with WiFi 7 support, has appeared on Alza. With the discount code ALZADNY30, it will cost you 2,099 CZK, which is 30% less than the original 2,999 CZK. It is one of the most affordable WiFi 7 routers on the Czech market, which makes sense mainly for people with fast fiber optic connections. What is WiFi 7 and why should you care WiFi 7 (technically 802.11be) is the latest generation of wireless networks, bringing higher speeds, lower latency, and better stability in congested networks. In practice, this means that if you have dozens of devices connected to WiFi at home (mobiles, tablets, smart bulbs, TVs), the network should work faster and without outages. However, the ASUS RT-BE58U is not a tri-band router – it only works with 2.4 GHz (688 Mb/s) and 5 GHz (2,882 Mb/s), lacking the 6 GHz band, which is standard for more expensive WiFi 7 routers. For most households, however, this is not an issue, as devices supporting the 6 GHz band are still rare. Technical parameters and practical use The router has a 2.5G WAN port, which is important for those who have a gigabit fiber optic connection from their operator. A classic 1G WAN port would be a bottleneck, and you wouldn’t utilize the full speed. Unfortunately, the LAN ports are only 4× 1 Gbit, which is a frequently mentioned negative in reviews – for this price, at least one 2.5G LAN port would make sense. KOUPIT ASUS ROUTER V AKCI You also have a USB 3.0 port, through which you can connect a disk or printer and share them on the network. The router supports AiMesh technology, meaning you can connect it with other ASUS routers to create a seamless mesh network covering your entire home. An interesting feature is the option to set a VLAN ID for the WAN port, which will be appreciated by owners of fiber optic connections from Vodafone/Cetin – you need to enter VID 848 in the settings (somewhat illogically found in the IPTV menu). Parental control and QoS (Quality of Service) functions for data prioritization are a given. What real users say In reviews on Alza, the router maintains an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. What customers appreciate most: Stability: “It works absolutely stably, without outages and with noticeably lower ping,” writes one user who switched from TP-Link BE3600, stating the difference is significant. Range: “Incredible signal range even through stone walls,” again compared to TP-Link’s competition. Another reviewer mentions 1 Gbit speed even over WiFi 6 on a laptop in the same room. Easy setup: “You set it up once and the router does everything itself, including firmware upgrades.” The ASUS interface is generally considered clear and intuitive. AiMesh: The ability to create a mesh network with other ASUS routers is appreciated by users who need to cover a larger area. The most common criticism is directed at the absence of 2.5G LAN ports and the fact that it is only a dual-band solution (lacking the 6 GHz band). One user also mentions occasional errors when aggregating networks in WiFi 7 mode, but this is rather an isolated case. Who it makes sense for For 2,099 CZK, the ASUS RT-BE58U is an interesting choice for anyone who: Has a gigabit fiber optic connection and needs a router with a 2.5G WAN port Is looking for a stable and powerful router with a long range Wants to try out WiFi 7 without investing in more expensive models (tri-band WiFi 7 routers start at 5–6 thousand) Plans to build an AiMesh network to cover the entire home It doesn’t make sense if you need 2.5G LAN ports for connecting a NAS or gaming PC – they simply aren’t here. Also, if you have devices that support the 6 GHz band (the latest iPhones, some flagship Androids), you will lose some of the WiFi 7 performance, as this router only operates with 2.4 and 5 GHz. Technical parameters at a glance WiFi: WiFi 7 (802.11be), dual-band (2.4 + 5 GHz) Speed: up to 3,600 Mb/s (688 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz + 2,882 Mb/s on 5 GHz) WAN: 1× 2.5 Gbit LAN: 4× 1 Gbit USB: 1× USB 3.0 Antennas: 4× external non-removable RAM: 1 GB Flash: 256 MB Security: WPA3, WPA2-Enterprise Features: AiMesh, QoS, parental control, VLAN support KOUPIT ASUS ROUTER V AKCI Where and for how much The ASUS RT-BE58U is currently available on Alza for 2,099 CZK with the discount code ALZADNY30.
