This is the best price in recent months and a significantly better price/performance ratio than the recently introduced successor, Xiaomi 15T, which officially starts at 14,990 CZK. Yes, in August, the 14T was a few crowns cheaper (7,990 CZK), but this is still a great offer. What you get for 8,492 CZK Charging and Battery Life: Solid, Not Miraculous Xiaomi 15T: Is it worth the extra cost? Conclusion: A Purchase That Makes Sense What you get for 8,492 CZK The Xiaomi 14T was released a year ago for 14,990 CZK, which was a decent price at the time for a phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip. This processor isn’t quite flagship-level, but in benchmarks like AnTuTu 10, it scores over 1.25 million points, which is enough for smooth everyday use and more demanding games. Combined with 12 GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, the phone runs like a dream. The display is one of its main draws. It’s a 6.67″ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1220 × 2712 pixels, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits (typically around 1,600 nits during normal use). It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, making movie watching or content streaming a very decent experience. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which isn’t the latest generation but sufficient for everyday use. CHCI XIAOMI 14T V AKCI The cameras bear the Leica designation, which in practice means two shooting modes – Authentic (more realistic colors) and Vibrant (saturated colors). The main 50MPx sensor with optical stabilization performs well in daylight, the 50MPx telephoto lens with 2× optical zoom is useful for portrait photography, and the 12MPx ultrawide-angle lens is standard. Charging and Battery Life: Solid, Not Miraculous The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which is standard nowadays. Battery life is solid, and 67W wired charging will fully charge the phone in under 45 minutes, which is a decent time. However, wireless charging is absent – if you’re used to it, you’ll have to settle for a cable. CHCI XIAOMI 14T V AKCI The phone has IP68 certification, so it can withstand immersion in 2 meters of water for 30 minutes. The frame is plastic, and the back is glass, which is a compromise between price and a premium feel. The weight of 193 grams is pleasant, and the phone feels good in hand. Xiaomi 15T: Is it worth the extra cost? Xiaomi recently introduced its successor – the Xiaomi 15T. It brings several improvements, but none of them are significant enough to justify the minimum difference of 4,000 CZK (with the current 14T promotion). Let’s go through what’s new: Processor: The Dimensity 8400 Ultra is faster – in AnTuTu 10, it scores over 1.64 million points, about 30% more. In practice, this isn’t noticeable unless you play extremely demanding games. Display: The Xiaomi 15T has a larger 6.83″ diagonal and a refresh rate reduced to 120 Hz (compared to 144 Hz on the 14T). The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, which is a newer generation. Battery: 5,500 mAh (compared to 5,000 mAh), battery life is slightly better. Charging remains at 67 W, but takes a few minutes longer due to the larger capacity. Cameras: The main sensor is better, also featuring 50 MPx with OIS; the telephoto lens has a different zoom (46mm instead of 50mm); the ultrawide-angle lens is the same. A color spectrum sensor has been added for more accurate color reproduction. IP68: Improved certification – water resistance up to 3 meters instead of 2 meters. Storage: UFS 4.1 instead of UFS 4.0 – you won’t notice much difference in practice. The Xiaomi 15T officially costs 14,990 CZK, which is exactly what the 14T cost a year ago. Yesterday, it was still possible to buy the 15T for 12,500 CZK, but the promotion has ended. So, if you choose between the 14T for 8,492 CZK and the 15T for 14,990 CZK, you will save 6,500 CZK, and the differences in usage will be minimal. CHCI XIAOMI 14T V AKCI Conclusion: A Purchase That Makes Sense The Xiaomi 14T for 8,492 CZK is one of the best deals you’ll find on the market right now. Yes, in August, the phone was 500 CZK cheaper, but that’s a minor detail. If you buy it now, you’ll get an AMOLED display with 144 Hz, Leica cameras, 67W charging, and solid battery life – all for a price at which you would otherwise buy a weaker mid-range phone.
