The new generation of flagship Xiaomi phones is still on its way, and the GSMA certification association database has already revealed the first trace of its cheaper offshoot. Xiaomi 18T and 18T Pro emerged in it with model numbers that, according to the leak, indicate a launch as early as the beginning of 2027.

GSMA database revealed that the new devices are also heading to Europe

The website XimiTime drew attention to the pair of new phones, having found their identifiers in the GSMA database. Such records are often the first public footprint of an upcoming phone – long before the manufacturer officially confirms anything. According to the server, European models are also expected, and T-series models traditionally officially come to us.

According to the records, the base Xiaomi 18T bears the codename “sanjose”. Xiaomi traditionally names its mid-range to high-end phones after cities, so the designation fits this logic perfectly. The codename for the Pro model is not yet known.

The Xiaomi 18T series might be released unexpectedly soon

The key to the timing is hidden directly in the model numbers. Xiaomi traditionally encodes the planned launch period into their first four digits, and for the 18T series, these numbers start with 2701 and 2702 – meaning January and February 2027. In practice, for Xiaomi, this usually means that the phone will indeed appear in the indicated month, or shortly thereafter.

And the timing is probably the most interesting aspect of the entire leak. The Xiaomi 15T appeared in September 2025, but its successor, the 17T, was moved to spring 2026 (the company skipped the number sixteen in its numbering). If the numbers are correct, the eighteen-series T-version would arrive even significantly earlier than expected.

We will have to wait for specific specifications and further details.

Would you bet that we will really see the new Xiaomi T-series as early as the beginning of 2027?
