Xiaomi is gradually expanding its portfolio of tools for DIY enthusiasts, and the latest addition is the Mijia Brushless Cordless Drill 2. It has now appeared in the offer of the domestic mistore.cz for 1,599 CZK and is primarily aimed at users looking for a compact and easy-to-use tool for occasional household tasks. While you won’t take it to a construction site, it will serve excellently for assembling furniture or drilling into wood.

Brushless Motor with USB-C Charging

At the heart of the drill is a brushless motor, which, according to Xiaomi, offers a maximum torque of 50 N·m and speeds of up to 1,700 rpm. Compared to the previous Xiaomi 12V Max Brushless Cordless Drill model, this represents an increase of approximately 66% in torque and 21% in speed. Power is supplied by a 1,900mAh battery, which the manufacturer includes directly in the drill body – on a single charge, you can drill up to 200 holes in wood or drive around 600 screws.

A practical detail is USB-C charging, so you don’t need a special charger or docking station. You simply connect the drill to a standard cable you have at home for your phone or tablet.

Automatic Mode for Beginners

Xiaomi equipped the drill with a total of 32 torque levels, covering both delicate screwing (levels 1–20) and drilling (levels 21–32). In addition to high-speed and low-speed modes, there is also an automatic mode with an integrated chip that regulates the force according to the material’s resistance. This prevents stripping threads or splitting boards when screwing into soft wood – the drill stops in time.

For safe operation, there is a self-locking chuck with a ratchet mechanism that holds drill bits and screwdriver bits firmly in place without slipping. Also included are LED lighting for the work area and a rotation direction switch with a lock.

Complete Accessories Included

Xiaomi has included a fairly rich set of accessories in the package. You will find wood drill bits with diameters of 4, 6, and 8 mm, an 8mm multi-purpose drill bit for wood, plastics, thin metals, and light concrete, as well as a 6mm ceramic drill bit for tiles or bricks. Also available is a magnetic extension rod and a comprehensive set of screwdriver bits – Phillips (PH0–PH3), flat, Torx, Pozidriv, square, triangular, and hexagonal.

Everything is stored in a molded EVA case with dedicated compartments, which protects the drill and accessories from damage and facilitates organized storage.

Who is the Drill Suitable For?

The Mijia Brushless Cordless Drill 2 is primarily aimed at apartment and house residents who occasionally assemble furniture, hang shelves, or perform minor repairs. It will also be appreciated by beginners, for whom the automatic mode helps avoid mistakes, or lovers of minimalist design – the drill looks more like an electronic gadget than a classic tool from a DIY store.

Conversely, the drill is not suitable for drilling into concrete or panel walls – it lacks an impact mechanism. Professional craftsmen or builders will also encounter the limitations of a smaller battery and slower USB-C charging. Simply put, it is not designed for all-day work on a construction site.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Mijia Brushless Cordless Drill 2 is available in the Czech Republic via mistore.cz for 1,599 CZK. It is currently in stock on the e-shop and ready for immediate dispatch.
