Xiaomi is expanding its range of smart security devices in Europe. The Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual, which we informed you about during its global launch in June, is now officially entering the European market. It is currently available in the UK at a surprisingly favorable price of approximately 1,100 CZK in conversion.

Two Lenses for Maximum Coverage

As the name suggests, the main advantage of the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual is its two independent lenses, which offer a much wider field of view than conventional cameras. This allows you to monitor two different areas simultaneously with one device, for example, the access path and the garden, or the street in front of the house and the driveway to the garage.

Each lens features a 3Mpx sensor with a resolution of 2304 × 1296 pixels (2K), an aperture of f/1.6, and support for Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) for better image quality in various lighting conditions. In the Xiaomi Home app, you can choose between vertical or horizontal image layout from both lenses.

Smart Features and Durable Construction

The camera offers a range of intelligent features, including AI detection of people, vehicles, and motion with the option to set a virtual boundary. Upon detecting unauthorized intrusion, it can not only send notifications to the app but also trigger an audible and visual alarm, which can deter potential intruders. Two-way audio transmission is available for remote communication.

At night, you can rely on smart color night vision with a range of up to 10 meters, which activates upon motion detection and provides a much better overview of the situation than standard infrared vision. The camera combines both infrared and white LED diodes for optimal results in all lighting conditions.

The Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual boasts a robust construction with IP66 certification, ensuring protection against dust and powerful water jets. The camera is capable of operating in extreme temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use in our climatic conditions.

Connectivity and Recording Storage

In terms of connectivity, the camera supports Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz) for more stable data transmission and Bluetooth 5.2 for easy pairing with the app. Alternatively, a direct network connection via an Ethernet cable with a transfer speed of up to 100 Mbps can be used. For recording storage, Xiaomi offers three options: local storage via a microSD card (16 to 256 GB), cloud storage (requires subscription), or connection to a NAS server.

Xiaomi also pays great attention to user data security. The camera is equipped with an MJA1 chip with a unique private key and certificate, ensuring a high level of protection against unauthorized access. Additionally, in the Xiaomi Home app, you can set up masking for private areas that will not be recorded.

Price and Availability in the Czech Republic

The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW100 Dual is now officially available in the UK for £39.99. According to information from one of the Czech e-shops, it should appear on our market in the near future, at a price of 1,449 CZK. At this price, it will be one of the most affordable outdoor security cameras with advanced features on the Czech market.

The package includes a 3-meter power cable with an integrated adapter and all necessary mounting accessories, including waterproof elements for the network cable, a mounting template, and installation materials.
