Xiaomi brought a better version of its affordable toothbrush to the Czech Republic. It features a full-fledged display and excessive pressure detection Home News Xiaomi started selling the Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro in the Czech Republic for 999 CZK The new product features a color display and excessive pressure detection during brushing The toothbrush offers four cleaning modes, including an intelligent oscillation mode Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 22. 9. 2025 22:30 Advertisement Recently, I had the opportunity to test the basic version of the Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush, which impressed with its design, battery life, and cleaning efficiency. However, I was bothered by the non-functional detection of missed spots, which was presented as one of its main advantages. Xiaomi is now bringing an improved Pro version to the Czech Republic, which could potentially fix this shortcoming. Moreover, it’s not significantly worse in terms of price. Display instead of light indicators While the basic model only featured square-shaped light indicators, the Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro comes with a full-fledged color digital display. This display shows a graphical representation of teeth divided into six zones and indicates in real-time which areas you have already cleaned and which you still need to focus on. The display automatically wakes up when the toothbrush is lifted and provides instant feedback on your brushing. In addition to covering individual zones, it also shows the risk of plaque formation, the history of previous brushing, and even warns of excessive pressure applied during brushing – something the cheaper model unfortunately cannot do. However, any option for connecting to a smartphone app is still missing. Intelligent Oscillation Technology The Pro model utilizes Smart Surface Oscillation technology, which automatically adjusts the angle and intensity of vibrations according to the part of the tooth you are currently cleaning. When cleaning the chewing surface of molars, the toothbrush vibrates more strongly with a smaller oscillation angle, while when cleaning the side surface of a tooth, it increases the oscillation angle up to 20 degrees for better coverage. There are four cleaning modes available: gentle for sensitive gums, standard for daily use, deep oscillation for interdental spaces, and intelligent oscillation, which automatically adapts to different tooth surfaces (you would look in vain for this in the cheaper model). The toothbrush uses an improved oscillating ultrasonic motor that effectively removes plaque through horizontal cleaning. Battery Life and Practical Features Like the basic model, the Pro version boasts exceptional battery life – up to 180 days in gentle mode or 100 days in standard mode. Charging is done via a USB-C port, which is especially convenient for travel. The toothbrush offers an IPX8 rating, so you can rinse it under running water without worry. It also includes a memory function to recall the last used mode, a 3-second gradual start to prevent toothpaste splatter, and a practical travel lock function that prevents accidental activation in luggage. Two Types of Copper-Free Brush Heads For the Pro model, Xiaomi developed new brush heads without the use of copper, which eliminates the risk of rusting. Two types are available: Clean with harder bristles for thorough cleaning and Soft with softer bristles for sensitive teeth and gums. Both variants have rubber padding on the back to protect teeth from unpleasant impacts, and they contain green bristles, whose fading indicates the need for brush head replacement. Price and Availability The Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro is available in the Czech Republic for 999 CZK, while the cheaper variant costs only 699 CZK. So, you don’t pay much extra for bonuses like a color display or excessive pressure detection. The toothbrush is available in white and purple variants. Given that the basic version almost convinced me, the improved Pro version with functional cleaning tracking and an informative display could be an interesting choice for anyone looking for an affordable electric toothbrush with slightly more advanced features. However, it is, of course, a question of how the more expensive toothbrush performs in terms of detecting missed spots. Since I haven’t tested it, at least not yet, I wouldn’t dare to say with 100% certainty that it’s better than its cheaper sibling.
