Xiaomi brought a new pocket photo printer to the Czech Republic. It uses sublimation technology and cleverly brings memories to life

After its October global introduction, the pocket photo printer Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer Pro is finally coming to the Czech market. Currently, retailer Smarty offers it for 2,690 CZK, but we expect it to appear at other retailers soon. The device targets users who want to convert their digital memories into physical form immediately after capture.

High-Resolution Sublimation Printing

The Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer Pro uses sublimation technology, which ensures high-quality prints with a fineness of 313 dpi. The printer can reproduce 16.7 million colors thanks to 256 intensity levels per color channel. The result is photos with natural colors and smooth transitions, approaching laboratory print quality.

An interesting feature is the integrated automatic lamination, which occurs during the printing process itself. Each photo thus receives a protective layer that protects it from moisture, fingerprints, and fading. Thanks to this, the prints should last for years without visible quality degradation.

Bluetooth Connection for up to Three Users

The printer connects to a phone via Bluetooth and supports simultaneous connection of up to three users. However, they must have an account in the Xiaomi Home app, through which all control takes place. The application is available for Android (version 10.6 and newer) and iOS (version 10.7 and newer).

AR Photos Bring Memories to Life

One of the most interesting features are AR photos, which combine a printed image with digital content. You can add a video of up to 15 seconds or an audio recording of up to 60 seconds to a photo. After scanning the photo with the “Scan” function in the Xiaomi Home app, the associated multimedia content will play. Each account can upload up to 100 AR photos.

The printer also supports printing Live Photos from iPhones (from model 6S) and selected Xiaomi phones. Moving photos are again played after scanning in the app.

Creative Templates and Filters

The Xiaomi Home app offers a range of creative filters, frames, and watermarks for editing photos before printing. Also available are templates for collages, photo stickers, or romantic photo strips. The Photo booth auto-collage function automatically creates a collage from multiple images according to a pre-selected template.

Compact Dimensions for Travel

The printer has compact dimensions of 143 x 87 x 27 mm, allowing for easy carrying in a backpack or even a coat pocket. Xiaomi presents it as an ideal companion for trips, weddings, or family celebrations, where you can print photos instantly on the spot.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer Pro is sold in the Czech Republic for 2,690 CZK. The package includes 10 sheets of photo paper, an ink cartridge for 10 photos, a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. Additional photo papers and cartridges will need to be purchased separately.
