Xiaomi is expanding its gaming monitor portfolio with the new model 2K Gaming Monitor G27Qi 2026, which improves upon the parameters of the currently sold version. While the current model offers a 180Hz refresh rate and 300 nits brightness, the new model pushes these values to 200 Hz and 400 nits. We can also highlight design changes – the model for the upcoming year boasts a two-tone back and a more robust-looking stand. Overall, it seems to be aimed at gamers who appreciate a fast panel with decent specifications but don’t want to spend thousands of crowns on a monitor.

Fast IPS Panel with 2K Resolution

The monitor is based on a 27-inch Fast IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. Fast IPS technology ensures faster response than conventional IPS panels while maintaining wide viewing angles of 178 degrees. The monitor achieves a 1 ms GTG (gray-to-gray) response time, which minimizes motion blur during fast-paced gaming scenes.

The display covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 95% of DCI-P3, utilizing 10-bit color depth for smoother color transitions. Xiaomi states professional color accuracy with a ΔE < 2 value, which ensures faithful color reproduction without visible deviations.

200Hz Frequency and AMD FreeSync Premium Support

For gamers, the 200Hz refresh rate is crucial, maintaining a smooth image even during the fastest gaming actions. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology, which synchronizes the graphics card’s frame rate with the monitor, thus eliminating screen tearing.

With a brightness of 400 nits and HDR 400 certification, the monitor displays a greater range of brightness between the darkest and brightest parts of the image. Dark areas remain detailed, while bright parts do not lose their detail. This is especially appreciated in games with high-contrast scenes or when watching HDR content.

Eye Protection During Long Gaming Sessions

The monitor has received TÜV Low Blue Light certification for hardware-level blue light reduction. Unlike software filters, which cause a yellow tint to the image, the hardware solution reduces up to 50% of harmful blue light in the 415-455 nm range while preserving natural colors.

Connectivity and Control

For connecting a computer or console, the monitor has two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Control is provided by a practical joystick located on the back, which allows quick navigation in the menu without having to press multiple buttons. The design with narrow bezels on three sides maximizes the display area.

Xiaomi has not yet announced the price or specific details about the availability of the G27Qi 2026 model on the European market, but we expect it to arrive here sooner or later. Just for reference: the current model with slightly weaker parameters is available in the Czech Republic for around 5,000 CZK.
