The new Smart LED Bulb (White and Color) is an affordable bulb with colored light, support for the Matter protocol, and full integration into the Xiaomi Home application – all without the need for a central hub. As the NotebookCheck portal mentions, for example, compared to well-known competitors like Philips Hue, this bulb brings a clear advantage, especially in terms of price. The new product from Xiaomi costs only 12.99 € (approx. 325 CZK), while a similar Hue bulb can sell for up to three times that price. The bulb is designed for E27 sockets (the most common socket for classic bulbs), so you can easily screw it into most household fixtures. What can this smart Xiaomi bulb do? It offers a light output of up to 806 lumens and a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K, which is great if you sometimes need to brighten the interior with cooler white light instead of classic yellowish light. Of course, it also offers the option to choose from 16 million colors, which is standard for RGB bulbs. In addition, it promises low power consumption – only 8.5 W In terms of connectivity, users will be pleased not only with the Wi-Fi module for direct connection, but also with the aforementioned support for Matter, which guarantees compatibility with other smart home systems and platforms – whether it’s Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or Amazon Alexa. The only disadvantage at the moment is that although the Smart LED Bulb was introduced to the European market, it has not yet officially arrived in the Czech Republic. However, given that it is available on the German market, it could be introduced here soon. What do you think of this color bulb?
