Xiaomi has launched a new generation of outdoor security camera, the Smart Outdoor Camera 4 Pro Triple Camera Zoom Edition, in China. The main attraction is its three independent 5Mpx lenses – while standard IP cameras have one lens and more advanced models have two, this new product goes even further, offering a triple optical system for maximum coverage of the monitored area.

Three Lenses for Perfect Overview

The Xiaomi Smart Outdoor Camera 4 Pro uses three 5Mpx sensors with an f/1.6 aperture, capable of recording images in 3K resolution (2880×1620 pixels). The upper lens can rotate horizontally up to 180°, while the lower module with the two remaining lenses can rotate 355° horizontally and 95° vertically. The system allows for 9× hybrid zoom with automatic tracking of moving objects.

Intelligent Detection Without Subscription

The camera can recognize people and vehicles using artificial intelligence across all three lenses simultaneously. Upon detecting unusual activity, it sends an alert to the Mi Home app along with a video recording. Advanced features include the ability to define custom parking zones – if the system detects unauthorized parking, it sends a notification including the recognized license plate.

To deter uninvited guests, the camera is equipped with a light and sound alarm with two-way communication. The virtual fence creation feature has been improved with the ability to define custom polygonal areas instead of just rectangular zones.

Color Night Vision and Durable Construction

All three lenses are equipped with combined white LED and infrared illumination, which automatically activates upon detection of a human figure. This allows the camera to record color images even in darkness instead of just black and white footage.

The construction meets IP66 certification for resistance to rain and dust. The camera can operate in an extreme temperature range from -30 °C to +60 °C, making it suitable for use in any climate.

Connectivity and Storage

The Smart Outdoor Camera 4 Pro supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi (utilizing Wi-Fi 6 standard) for stable connection. For recording storage, you can use a microSD card, cloud storage, or NAS. The camera is compatible with Xiaomi HyperOS Connect for integration with other smart home devices.

Availability and Price

The Xiaomi Smart Outdoor Camera 4 Pro Triple Camera Zoom Edition is available in China for 449 yuan, which is approximately CZK 1,300 in conversion. The manufacturer has not yet announced plans for its release in the Czech Republic or other European countries.
