The line of affordable Xiaomi bands has a new member. The Redmi Band 4 went on sale in China on October 20 and, according to the manufacturer, offers up to 21 days of battery life, a 60Hz display, and 50 sports modes. Looking at the specifications, a direct comparison with the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active, which you can already buy in our country, is obvious – on paper, both bands have practically identical features.

Metal frame and 60Hz display

The Redmi Band 4 features a unibody design with a metal-textured frame and a 1.47-inch display with a 60Hz refresh rate, covered by 2.5D curved glass. It is available in black and silver.

Xiaomi states a battery life of up to 21 days, which is three days more than its predecessor, the Redmi Band 3. However, with regular health monitoring, the manufacturer says it drops to about eight days, so the actual result will mainly depend on which functions you keep enabled.

Measures stress, heart rate, and sleep, but NFC is missing

The band monitors heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and all-day stress levels, and also includes menstrual cycle tracking. For athletes, it offers 50 modes, including running, cycling, and table tennis, and thanks to 5 ATM water resistance, it can withstand swimming. Smart features include phone notifications, alarms, and watch face changes. However, according to Gizmochina, NFC, which the previous Redmi Band 3 had in China, has been removed from the features.

Twin of Smart Band 11 Active

You can get an almost identical model on the Czech market. The Smart Band 11 Active, which Xiaomi introduced in August, has the same 1.47-inch 60Hz display, the same battery life of 21 days (or 8 days with typical use), 50 sports modes, and 5 ATM water resistance. The metallic look of the frame and the striped texture of the strap also match. Xiaomi has not officially confirmed it, but the Redmi Band 4 is most likely the Chinese version of the same band under a different name.

In the Czech Republic for 699 CZK

So you don’t have to wait for imports from China. You can buy the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active on Alza for 699 CZK. While the Redmi Band 4 is roughly 150 CZK cheaper when converted, the price difference would likely disappear after adding shipping and VAT. Plus, you would lose the standard warranty from a Czech retailer.

Would such a simple band for less than 700 CZK be enough for you?
