Xiaomi is preparing Redmi Clip Neo clip-on headphones. They could be a cheaper alternative to Xiaomi Clip

Clip-on headphones, which are placed on the auricle and leave the ear canal free, are offered by more and more manufacturers. Xiaomi has already jumped on this bandwagon and has now also included its branch of more affordable Redmi devices. The new Redmi Clip Neo are expected to arrive this month and are anticipated to be cheaper.

When will Redmi Clip Neo arrive?

Xiaomi President and head of the mobile division, Lu Weibing, announced that the headphones will be unveiled in China this month alongside the Redmi K100 phone. The exact date has not yet been announced. There has been no word yet on plans for their release in Europe or other parts of the world.

The official poster revealed the design. It shows headphones with a curved arch that rests on the ear, and next to them, a rounded charging case with a small light strip on the front. They are expected to be sold in white and black colors. The manufacturer has not yet revealed the battery life, driver size, or price.

Will they be cheaper than Xiaomi Clip?

An idea of what Redmi might be based on is provided by Xiaomi Clip headphones. These were released in China this May, and as we exclusively reported on Saturday, they are also coming to the Czech Republic. Each earbud weighs 5.5 grams, is held on the ear by a memory titanium arch, and features an 11mm driver inside. It also includes IP57 rating, real-time translation into 21 languages, and tracking via the Apple Find My network. In domestic stores, they could cost 3,399 CZK.

We do not yet know which part of this equipment will also make it into the Redmi model. However, given the brand’s general policy, a lower price tag can be expected, making the headphones more accessible to the masses.
