It is now available for 499 CZK, placing it in the category of the cheapest wireless headphones. Unlike its more expensive siblings, it opted for an earbud design without silicone ear tips, which suits users who prefer a looser fit in the ear. Earbuds for all-day wear Clear calls even in windy conditions Solid battery life and fast charging Smart features and durability Where they fit in Xiaomi's portfolio Earbuds for all-day wear Hlavním lákadlem Redmi Buds 8 Active je jejich ergonomický design. Xiaomi equipped the headphones with 14.2mm dynamic drivers with a titanium diaphragm, which ensures faster response, especially in mid and high frequencies. Sound transmission is handled by Bluetooth 5.4 with support for SBC and AAC codecs. Higher codecs like LDAC or aptX are naturally absent in the cheapest model. Clear calls even in windy conditions While the Redmi Buds 8 Active lack active noise cancellation (ANC), which is found in more expensive models in the series, the manufacturer did not forget about call quality. Dual microphones with an AI algorithm can effectively filter out ambient noise and maintain a clear voice. The design also manages wind noise reduction up to 6 m/s, so you should be audible even when making calls outdoors in less favorable weather. Solid battery life and fast charging The headphones themselves last approximately 7 hours of listening on a single charge at 50% volume and connected via AAC. The charging case extends the total battery life to up to 37 hours, which represents about a 23% improvement over the previous Redmi Buds 6 Active. A practical feature is fast charging – 10 minutes in the case is enough for 2 hours of listening. Smart features and durability In the Xiaomi Earbuds app, you can choose from five preset sound profiles or create your own equalizer according to personal preferences. The headphones support Google Fast Pair for quick pairing with Android devices and allow simultaneous connection to two devices. IP54 certification ensures resistance to sweat and light rain. The headphones are available in Black and White colors. As a bonus, Xiaomi adds 2 months of Spotify Premium for free for new users of the service. Where they fit in Xiaomi’s portfolio Redmi Buds 8 Active complement the existing offering, which in the Czech Republic also includes the Redmi Buds 8 Pro for 1,799 CZK with triple drivers and ANC up to 55 dB, and the older Redmi Buds 8 Lite for 599 CZK with hybrid ANC up to 42 dB. The new Active model is intended for those who prefer an earbud design and do not need active noise cancellation – but for the hundred crowns saved compared to the Lite version, they lose ANC.
