Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max sped through Geekbench. Its performance was absolutely shocking, despite not having Snapdragon or Dimensity

Xiaomi is preparing its most powerful tablet to date, and now it has been revealed for the first time what exactly beats under its hood. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max passed the Geekbench test with Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip, and the measured values suggest that it doesn’t have to fear even the strongest competition.

What performance did the Xring O3 show in the test?

The device with model designation M367FC appeared in the database without a name, but leaker @ZionsAnvin on X and other sources attributed it to the upcoming Pad 9 Pro Max. The listing confirms the Xring O3 chip with a deca-core processor – two cores run at 4.36 GHz, four at 3.69 GHz, and the remaining four at 3.15 GHz, with graphics handled by Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC16. The tested unit had 16 GB of RAM and ran on Android 17.

In the Geekbench 6 benchmark itself, the tablet achieved a single-core score of 3,541 points and a multi-core score of 14,153 points. However, consider this as a single leaked run – another listing shows slightly lower numbers, and the result may still change before the chip settles in a production unit. Even so, compared to the older Pad 7S Pro with the Xring O1 chip, this is roughly a third higher single-core result and two-thirds higher multi-core result.

How does the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max compare to Snapdragon?

The most interesting aspect is the comparison with the current top mobile chips. The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 gaming tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 achieved 3,521 points in a single core and 10,744 points in multiple cores in a Notebookcheck server test. Xiaomi’s new device thus remains practically on par in the single-core test (the difference is only 0.6%), but in the multi-core test, it jumped ahead by approximately 31%.

It should be added that a synthetic benchmark is not the same as real-world performance. How the chip will behave in demanding games, under prolonged load, and how much the thermal ceiling of a thin tablet will cut into its performance, only practice will show. However, the numbers still indicate that the brand dares to compete with the best Qualcomm has to offer today.

When will the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max arrive on the market?

The premiere is scheduled for September 2026 and initially only for China. The Pad 9 Pro Max is intended to be the flagship of the entire new series and also the brand’s very first tablet with the Xring O3 chip.

According to an earlier leak, about which we wrote, it will offer a 13.3-inch display, a battery over 10,000 mAh, and 120W charging. In addition, the series is expected to include a basic Pad 9 with an 11.2-inch panel and a mid-range Pad 9 Pro with a 12.5-inch diagonal. Whether and for how much any of them will arrive in the Czech Republic, Xiaomi has not yet revealed.
