Xiaomi portable coffee machine heads to Europe. Make espresso literally anywhere Home News Battery-powered espresso maker brews from capsules and ground coffee In China, it costs approximately 2,500 CZK, European price is not yet known Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 2. 10. 2026 00:30 Advertisement Kdo si na výlet nosí termosku s kávou z domova, možná se brzy dočká lepší alternativy. Přenosný kávovar Xiaomi Mijia Portable Coffee Machine, který výrobce v červnu představil v Číně, dostal vlastní stránku na globálním webu značky, a s nejvyšší pravděpodobností tak míří i do Evropy. Espresso si s ním připravíte u stanu, v autě i v kanceláři – a zásuvku k tomu potřebovat nebudete. Espresso from capsules and ground coffee in 45 seconds Its shape resembles a travel thermos more than a coffee machine. It measures 24.5 cm in height and 7.15 cm in width, so it fits into a car’s cup holder and a backpack’s side pocket. With a weight of about 1.05 kg, it’s not feather-light, but it certainly won’t cause you any trouble. Inside, an electromagnetic pump operates with a pressure of up to 20 bars and a ceramic heating element that, according to Xiaomi, keeps water at 92 °C. You insert a capsule or a metal basket with ground coffee into the brewing chamber – depending on what you have at hand. You pour water into the heating container with a volume of up to 60 ml, and the finished coffee ends up in the included double-walled stainless steel mug. According to the manufacturer, preparation takes a maximum of 45 seconds and also works with cold water, so you can make iced americano in the summer. After use, simply unscrew and rinse the brewing chamber. Furthermore, the device’s body meets IPX5 water resistance against splashing water, so according to the manufacturer, camping in the rain should not bother it. The package also includes an aluminum stand, a measuring spoon, and an accessory case. How many cups does the battery last for? Power is supplied by three 2,500 mAh cells, which you can charge via USB-C with up to 45 W. According to Xiaomi, you can get from 20 to 80% in about half an hour, a full charge takes about 80 minutes, and a power bank can also serve in an emergency. However, pay attention to the box contents: the included adapter only handles 10 W, so for fast charging, you’ll need to purchase a more powerful charger separately. The number the brand boasts most about is up to 400 cups on a single charge. However, this only applies if you pour pre-heated water into the coffee machine and the battery only powers the pump. If you let the device heat the water directly, a full charge will only last for three cups in a row. So, for a weekend camping trip, it’s worth packing a stove or at least a power bank. How much will it cost in the Czech Republic? The manufacturer has not yet announced the European price, and regional versions of the page, including Czech, German, and French, are not yet functional. For reference, China’s recommended price is 799 yuan, which is approximately 2,500 CZK. European prices are usually higher than Chinese ones.
