After a month of testing, I can say that it is a well-made appliance with several practical features, but also with realistic limitations that potential buyers should be aware of.

Compact Design with Thoughtful Details

The white design with dimensions of 347 × 288 × 296 mm takes up a reasonable amount of space on the kitchen counter. The weight of 5.3 kg ensures stability during use, while also making it easy to move the pot if needed. The lid is a massive piece of 1.2 mm thick 304 stainless steel – you can feel its quality and durability.

The display on the front is white backlit and easy to read, although the plastic film on the surface lifts slightly at the sides. Nothing major, but a minor detail that reduces the impression of premium craftsmanship. Operation is simple – just tap on the front panel.

Two Pots – A Practical Advantage

The main advantage of this model is the two non-stick inner pots (black and gold) included in the package. They allow you to prepare multiple dishes consecutively without having to wait for cooling and washing. After cooking rice, simply remove the first pot and continue with, for example, goulash.

Both pots have a five-layer construction with a non-stick coating, which makes cleaning easier. During a month of testing, no scratches or visible wear appeared on them, even when preparing dishes with higher acidity such as tomato sauce or beans.

The 4.8-liter capacity is suitable for families – during testing, we prepared goulash for four people with enough left over for the next day. For one or two people, the volume might be unnecessarily large.

Safety as a Priority

Xiaomi equipped the pot with eight safety mechanisms – overheat protection, excessive pressure control, lid safety lock, and more.

Manual pressure release is located outside the main exhaust valve, which reduces the risk of steam burns. The outer casing remains cool to the touch even when cooking under pressure – a safety feature especially appreciated in households with children.

Performance in Practice: Realistic Expectations

The pressure cooker offers six cooking modes and the option to set seven pressure levels in three stages. Theoretically, you can achieve three different textures – from crispy to medium-soft to very tender.

During testing, we tried rice, chickpeas, chicken broth, goulash, lentils, and beans. The taste quality was consistently good – the dishes were well-cooked and flavorful. However, the time saving is not as dramatic as one might expect.

The automatic rice mode set the timer to 30 minutes. The result was tasty, but the texture was more like rice porridge. Manual setting to 12-15 minutes yields better results.

The greatest benefit is with legumes – chickpeas were soft in 43 minutes, beans similarly. Without the need for overnight soaking.

The 24-hour timer function works reliably. You can load ingredients in the evening and set the time so that dinner is ready precisely when you arrive home.

Who is it suitable for?

Owners of cottages and cabins without a gas stove will appreciate the electric operation. Small apartments with a limited number of burners will benefit from the two inner pots. Busy families will appreciate the timer for dinner preparation. Legume lovers will truly save time compared to traditional cooking.

Conversely, it is not ideal for people expecting dramatic time savings for all dishes, or for smart home enthusiasts looking for another device for the Mi Home ecosystem.
