Xiaomi released a camera in Europe for 620 crowns! It can shoot 2K video and has clever AI features Home News Xiaomi Smart Camera C100 officially heads to Europe for 25 euros (620 CZK) The camera offers 2K resolution, AI detection, and a physical lens cover It could arrive in the Czech Republic within a few weeks to months Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 25. 8. 2025 14:30 Advertisement Do you remember the Xiaomi Smart Camera C100, which we wrote about in May? At that time, we speculated about a price under a thousand crowns and an early arrival in Europe. Now it’s official – the camera has started selling in several European countries for 24.99 euros (approximately 620 CZK). What does this mean for the Czech market? From the global website straight to European stores The Xiaomi Smart Camera C100 is now available in the UK and Germany directly in the manufacturer’s official e-shop. You can also find it on Amazon in the Netherlands, Spain, and France, although with a delivery time of at least a month. The price of 25 euros is a pleasant surprise – in May, we estimated it could cost under a thousand crowns, and the reality is even better. As a reminder – this is a home camera with a 3Mpx sensor and a resolution of 2304 × 1296 pixels (2K). The wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.6 covers an angle of 128 degrees, which in practice means you’ll see almost everything from a corner of the room. The camera handles color night vision in minimal light, and for complete darkness, it has infrared illumination with a wavelength of 940 nm – that’s the invisible variant that doesn’t glow red at night. AI features that make sense Artificial intelligence in the camera is not just a marketing ploy. Person detection works reliably and distinguishes a human from a pet. Baby crying recognition will be appreciated by parents – you’ll get a notification when the baby needs attention. The camera also reacts to loud sounds like breaking glass or screaming. An interesting feature is the virtual fence – you mark an area in the app (e.g., around a safe or door), and whenever someone enters it, you receive a notification. Everything is processed locally in the camera, so your data doesn’t unnecessarily travel to servers. And if you don’t want to be monitored? Just slide the physical cover over the lens. Modern connectivity at an affordable price For 25 euros, you get Wi-Fi 6 support, which is not a given in this price category. The connection is more stable and faster than with older standards. The camera is controlled via the Xiaomi Home app, but it also works with Google Assistant and Alexa. KOUPIT IP KAMERY XIAOMI Thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, you can communicate two-way through the camera. Noise and echo cancellation algorithms ensure that the other party hears you well. Video is stored on a microSD card (8-256 GB), NAS network storage, or in the cloud – you have three options to choose from. When can we expect it in the Czech Republic? Given that the camera is already in neighboring Germany, its Czech debut should not be far off. Xiaomi usually expands availability within 1-3 months after its launch in Western Europe. The expected price could be around 700-800 crowns, which would make the C100 one of the most affordable 2K cameras on the market. What do you think of the new Xiaomi camera?
