Xiaomi returns to notebooks after 4 years! The new Book Pro 14 entices with a beautiful display and insane battery life Home News Xiaomi officially unveiled the Book Pro 14 notebook with Intel Panther Lake processors and an OLED display The notebook weighs only 1.08 kg, has a 72Wh battery, and includes a 100W GaN charger in the package Prices start at approximately 26,000 CZK, but currently only in China — global availability is uncertain Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 20. 3. 2026 23:30 Advertisement A few days ago, we introduced the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 based on teasers and partial leaks. Now the speculation is over — at the spring launch event, the company fully unveiled the notebook, including complete specifications, prices, and sale date. After an almost four-year hiatus in the notebook market, Xiaomi returns with the ambition to directly challenge MacBooks and premium ultrabooks. A kilogram-light notebook with premium materials OLED display with 3.1K resolution and 120 Hz Intel Panther Lake up to Core Ultra X7 variant Ports you forgot about on ultrabooks 72Wh battery and ambition to surpass MacBook Prices and availability: China only for now A kilogram-light notebook with premium materials The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 weighs 1.08 kg and measures just 14.95 mm in thickness. The low weight is due to a combination of materials not seen every day in notebooks in this price category — a monolithic magnesium alloy made by die-casting is, according to the manufacturer, 30% lighter than traditional construction. The bottom cover is made of carbon fiber, the keyboard is supported by a titanium plate, and cooling is handled by a graphene aluminum alloy. The notebook’s surface has a velvety texture, designed to be pleasant to the touch and resistant to fingerprints. There are four color variants: misty blue, elegant gray, creamy white, and soft pink. None of them appear boring, yet none are flashy either — Xiaomi is clearly targeting a segment where moderation is expected. OLED display with 3.1K resolution and 120 Hz The display is one of the main attractions of the entire notebook. It is a 14.6-inch OLED touchscreen panel with a resolution of 3,120 × 2,080 pixels (3:2 aspect ratio) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Peak brightness reaches 1,600 nits, while typical brightness is 500 nits. This display should be more than sufficient for text work, photo editing, and video watching. Below the display is a backlit keyboard with a key travel of 1.3 mm and a touchpad with an area of 129 cm² (140 × 93 mm), which is pressure-sensitive. These are parameters that look decent on paper — how they will perform in practice will only be revealed with longer use. Intel Panther Lake up to Core Ultra X7 variant Xiaomi has deployed processors from the new generation Intel Panther Lake. There are three configurations to choose from: The basic variant with Core Ultra 5 325 and 24 GB RAM, the mid-range with Core Ultra 5 338H and 32 GB RAM, and the top-end with Core Ultra X7 358H and also 32 GB RAM. All models offer a 1TB SSD and additionally include a free M.2 2280 slot for storage expansion up to 4 TB. This is a pleasant surprise for such a thin notebook. Cooling is handled by a vapor chamber, two fans, and a three-channel heat dissipation system, designed to maintain stable performance up to 50 W. Ports you forgot about on ultrabooks Xiaomi has decided to go against the trend of removing ports. The Book Pro 14 offers Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, a full-sized USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm jack. This means you won’t need any adapter or dongle to connect a monitor, flash drive, or headphones. In the ultra-thin notebook segment, this is still an exception, not the rule. 72Wh battery and ambition to surpass MacBook As we mentioned in the previous article, Xiaomi is not afraid to compare battery life directly with the MacBook Pro M5. According to Xiaomi Labs measurements, the Book Pro 14 is expected to last up to 19.8 hours when playing local video, 15.8 hours during online meetings, and 12.4 hours when streaming. The battery has a capacity of 72 Wh with an energy density of 800 Wh/l. A 100W GaN charger is included in the package, which is a nice bonus — with competitors, you often buy it separately. Xiaomi did not specify the exact charging speed, but with a 100W input, recharging the battery should not take longer than an hour and a half. Prices and availability: China only for now The Book Pro 14 goes on sale in China from March 21.
