Xiaomi robotic vacuum cleaner costs less than 3 thousand in a special offer. It surprises with laser navigation and mopping.

Breakfast crumbs remained in the kitchen, the rest of the apartment doesn’t need cleaning. This is exactly the situation where a robot comes in handy, allowing you to select a specific area on your phone. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C can do this thanks to laser mapping and the Xiaomi Home app. It now costs 2,959 CZK without a coupon on Alza, so you don’t have to start with expensive models for home mapping.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if: you want an affordable robot for regular cleaning with area selection and scheduling on your phone.
⚠️ Consider: you have to empty the dustbin and refill the water tank yourself.
💡 For less than three thousand, it’s a surprisingly well-equipped vacuum cleaner.

You choose where it cleans and where it can’t go

The S40C uses LDS laser navigation to create a map of your home. In Xiaomi Home, you can then set selected cleaning areas, virtual walls, or forbidden zones. This way, you don’t have to build a physical barrier around areas where you don’t want it to go.

Cleaning can be scheduled for a specific time or started remotely when you’re not home. The app shows its progress and allows you to select the vacuuming mode.

Xiaomi states a maximum suction pressure of 5,000 Pa in Turbo mode for the S40C. There are four modes to choose from, from quiet to Turbo, so it doesn’t have to operate at full power every time.

It dispenses water according to your settings

It also adds mopping to vacuuming. You choose one of three levels of water dispensing according to the surface you want to mop. The dustbin has a volume of 520 ml and the water tank 260 ml; emptying and refilling remains up to you, which is not surprising at this price point and probably nothing else can be expected.
