Xiaomi's best indoor camera has arrived in the Czech Republic. It offers 4K, two lenses, and clever features

Xiaomi is expanding its range of smart home cameras in our country. The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro model, which represents the brand’s best-equipped indoor camera, has now arrived in Czech stores – and you can get it at Alza for 2,999 CZK. We wrote in detail about its capabilities back in spring when it appeared on the manufacturer’s global website.

Two Lenses, 4K, and 9x Zoom

The main advantage of the camera is its dual lens system. Xiaomi combines an 8Mpx wide-angle sensor with a 5Mpx telephoto lens, allowing it to cover the entire room while also zooming in on distant details. The cooperation of both lenses provides a total of 9x hybrid zoom and a 4K resolution image, so the scene remains clear even when zoomed in.

AI Detection, Night Vision, and Privacy Under Control

Inside, a chip powers the smart functions. According to the manufacturer, the camera recognizes people, pets, motion, and selected sounds and can alert you to a child’s cry or unusual noise, for example. In the dark, it switches to night vision with ten 940 nm infrared LEDs, which do not emit a disturbing red glow, so you can safely place the camera even in the bedroom. The rotatable design offers 360° horizontal and 180° vertical coverage; according to Xiaomi, the motor is 30% faster compared to the older C700 model, although we cannot verify this number ourselves. Privacy is ensured by a physical lens cover – you can activate the cover via the app or manually, and the camera will stop recording at that moment.

Storage, Connectivity, and Smart Home

The camera connects via dual-band Wi-Fi 6 in both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and data is protected by the MJA1 security chip; efficient H.265 encoding also saves storage space. You can store recordings as you wish – on a microSD card with a capacity of 16 to 256 GB, in the cloud, or on a NAS. Two-way communication via the built-in microphone and speaker is also present, and you can even initiate a call with an “OK” gesture. Everything runs in the Xiaomi Home app, and you can easily integrate the camera into setups with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro is currently in stock at Alza for 2,999 CZK, where the store lists it as a new product. For a price under three thousand, you get an indoor camera with features usually not found in cheaper models – a pair of lenses, 4K image, and AI detection.
