High-power power banks with integrated cables are among the more expensive accessories. However, the Xiaomi 165W Power Bank 10000 (Integrated cable) is currently available from 730 CZK, which is exactly half of the original recommended price. We had the opportunity to test this power bank in real-world operation and can confirm that it is a very well-designed piece of hardware. Current availability and price comparisons can be found directly on Heureka.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you have a phone with fast charging (ideally above 67 W) and want one item instead of two – a power bank and a cable in one.
⚠️ Consider if you plan multi-day trips without access to electricity – the 10,000 mAh capacity is enough for a maximum of 1.5 phone charges.
💡 For 730 CZK, you get 165W power, an integrated cable, a color display, and 90W input charging – parameters that cost double elsewhere.

Why this power bank is interesting

The Xiaomi 165W Power Bank differs from ordinary power banks in two ways. Firstly, it has an integrated USB-C cable that protrudes from the power bank’s body and elegantly retracts into a special compartment after use. Secondly, it offers extremely high output power of up to 165 W – 120 W via the integrated cable and an additional 45 W via a separate USB-C port.

In practice, this means that a phone supporting fast charging (such as the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G) can be charged from zero to 100% in just 23 minutes. For the Xiaomi 14, it’s 35 minutes, and for the iPhone 15 Pro, it’s 56% in 30 minutes. This is a speed that ordinary power banks simply cannot offer.

How we tested the power bank

We had the opportunity to test the power bank in real-world conditions – specifically during several weeks of intensive use, including when I was a camp leader where charging a phone quietly was practically impossible. And this is where the main advantage of the integrated cable became apparent: you don’t have to worry about which cable to take, whether it supports sufficient power, or where to find it at all. You just grab the power bank and charge.

The cable is just under 20 cm long, which is optimal – you can comfortably hold your phone in your hand without the cable getting in the way. We also appreciate the fact that the end of the cable slides into a compartment and transforms into a loop, which can be used to carry the power bank.

In the long term, we would have slight concerns about the durability of the integrated cable – it could be damaged when carried in a crowded backpack along with other items. However, no problems occurred after several weeks of testing.

Key parameters in practice

The total output power of 165 W is divided between two ports: the integrated cable offers up to 120 W, and the separate USB-C port provides 45 W. This allows you to charge two devices simultaneously – for example, a phone and a tablet, or a phone and a laptop. The power bank supports PD 3.0, PPS, QC 3.5 protocols, as well as Xiaomi’s proprietary fast charging, making it compatible with virtually everything.

What pleased us most is the 90W input charging. With the right adapter, you can charge the power bank to 75% in just 15 minutes. During a coffee break, you’ll gain enough power for a full phone charge. This is a huge difference compared to ordinary power banks, which take hours to charge.

A pleasant bonus is the color display, which shows the charge status in percentages and the charging/discharging progress. Under normal circumstances, it remains off and lights up when a button is pressed. The only criticism is directed at the lower brightness – the display is harder to read in outdoor environments.

Practical aspects: dimensions, capacity, travel

The dimensions of 143 × 48 × 36 mm are compact but not miniature – the power bank fits comfortably into a backpack pocket or jacket. The weight corresponds to its size but is not excessive. The power of 36 Wh means you can travel by plane without problems (the limit for carry-on luggage is 100 Wh).

The capacity of 10,000 mAh is standard for this category, but given the power bank’s dimensions, you might expect more. In practice, this means you can charge a phone a maximum of 1.5 times (depending on your mobile’s battery capacity). For day trips or regular travel, this is more than enough; for multi-day hikes without access to electricity, you would need a model with a higher capacity.

When it doesn’t make sense

If your phone does not support fast charging of at least 67 W, you won’t utilize the main advantage of this power bank. The iPhone 15 Pro, for example, supports a maximum of 27 W, so you’ll only use a fraction of the 120W output. In such a case, a cheaper power bank with a higher capacity might be a better choice.

Similarly, if you plan multi-day trips without electricity, a 10,000 mAh capacity will likely not be sufficient. For such purposes, we recommend a power bank with at least 20,000 mAh – even if it comes at the cost of lower power and the absence of an integrated cable.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

The Xiaomi 165W Power Bank 10000 is an ideal choice for owners of phones with fast charging above 67 W, who will appreciate the practicality of the integrated cable and lightning-fast charging. For 730 CZK, you get a power bank that originally cost 1,449 CZK – that’s a discount of over 50%. The combination of 165W power, 90W input charging, and a color display is unrivaled in this price range. If you’ve been considering upgrading your power bank, now is a good time.

What power bank do you use, and what power output is sufficient for you?
