The robot vacuum cleaner market has been extremely crowded in recent years, and price differences between individual models can be vast. While premium models with docking stations and self-cleaning functions can easily reach 50 thousand Czech crowns, Xiaomi now proves that solid equipment can be obtained for a fraction of that amount. The new Mijia Robot Vacuum 4 combines laser navigation and high suction power with a price that translates to approximately 4,400 CZK.

Laser Navigation in the Lower Mid-Range

The Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum 4 relies on LDS laser navigation, which creates accurate room maps and plans efficient cleaning routes. In this price category, it’s a relatively unusual choice – most competing brands opt for camera systems or simple bumper sensors in their cheaper models.

In terms of suction power, the new model offers 10,000 Pa, a value that should easily handle common dirt, dust, and pet hair. There are four cleaning modes and dual side brushes with an anti-tangle design, which should simplify maintenance, especially in households with long hair or pets.

Vacuuming and Mopping in One Pass

As the name suggests, the Mijia Robot Vacuum 4 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It features a 520ml dustbin and a 270ml water tank, which, according to the manufacturer, is sufficient for cleaning an area of up to 300 square meters in an open space. For a typical apartment, one fill should be more than enough.

Also noteworthy is the 5,200mAh battery, which can operate for up to 180 minutes in combined vacuuming and mopping mode. The vacuum can handle obstacles up to 20 mm high, so it should have no problem with common thresholds between rooms. Control is done via the Mijia app, which allows for cleaning scheduling, mode settings, and remote control.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum 4 has been on sale in China since April 7th for 1,443 yuan, which translates to approximately 4,400 CZK. In some Chinese regions, thanks to government subsidies, the vacuum can be purchased even cheaper – for 1,299 yuan (approx. 3,950 CZK).

It is not yet clear whether the new product will ever officially reach the European market. However, Xiaomi continuously brings its robot vacuums to Europe, so there is definitely a chance for a later global launch.
