Xiaomi Smart Graphene Heater is coming to Europe! You can buy it in the Czech Republic too, it costs less than 2 thousand Home News Xiaomi brings a smart graphene heater with 2000 W power to Europe Heats up a room in moments thanks to graphene technology and infrared radiation Controlled via the Xiaomi Home app, supports Google Assistant, and has automatic safety features Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 12. 9. 2025 04:30 Advertisement Xiaomi has quietly released an interesting alternative to conventional electric heaters in Europe. The Smart Graphene Heater has arrived in Spain and Italy with a price of around 80 euros (approximately 2,000 CZK) and promises a revolution in heating speed. But there’s a catch. Graphene heating is not sci-fi, but reality Smart home and safety first How much does it consume and is it worth it? When will it arrive in the Czech Republic? Graphene heating is not sci-fi, but reality Graphene is that miraculous material that has been talked about for a decade – as thin as an atom, stronger than steel, and conducts heat better than copper. Xiaomi has integrated it into a heating element, which can heat a room in just 3 seconds. This is, of course, a marketing claim; reality will certainly be different. Add to that Far Infrared (FIR) radiation, which heats objects and people directly, not the air. It’s a similar principle to solar radiation – which is why manufacturers like to talk about a “feeling of solar warmth”. In practice, this means that the sensation of warmth is immediate, even if the air temperature in the room hasn’t yet risen. The 2000 W power is standard for rooms up to 20-25 m². Xiaomi also adds oscillation up to 70 degrees, so the heat is distributed more evenly than with a static electric heater. And three airflow modes? Hot, warm, and natural breeze – the last one is essentially just a fan without heating for the summer months. Smart home and safety first The real added value lies in integration into the Xiaomi Home ecosystem. You set the target temperature, schedule, or simply say “OK Google, heat the living room” and it’s done. For owners of other Xiaomi devices, this means the possibility of complex automations – for example, turning on the heating when the temperature drops below 18 °C and you are also at home (according to your phone’s GPS). Safety features appear standard at first glance – overheating protection and automatic shutdown if overturned. However, thanks to the internet connection, you also receive notifications on your phone if something goes wrong. And you can turn off the heating remotely. Dimensions of 176 × 467 mm and a weight of 2.3 kg make it an easily portable accessory. It’s not a replacement for central heating, but rather a quick solution for the bathroom, study, or cottage. How much does it consume and is it worth it? Here we encounter the stumbling block of all electric heaters. 2000 W means a consumption of 2 kWh per hour of operation at full power. At current electricity prices around 6 CZK/kWh, an hour of heating will cost you 12 CZK. You can easily spend 50-60 CZK for an evening in the living room. Although graphene technology promises higher efficiency in converting electricity to heat, you can’t cheat physics – 2000 W is 2000 W. The advantage lies more in faster warm-up and more even heat distribution, which can shorten the necessary operating time. When will it arrive in the Czech Republic? Xiaomi currently officially sells the Smart Graphene Heater only in Spain (80 euros) and Italy (90 euros). According to the usual scenario, it should arrive in other countries within a few weeks, however (presumably unofficially) it is sold in the Czech Republic by the e-shop eltrox for 1650 CZK.
