A laptop, phone, headphones, and three different cables that always get tangled in your backpack. This is precisely the problem that the Xiaomi Power Bank Pro 25000 aims to solve, which the Chinese manufacturer has just started selling on its domestic market. It has one cable hidden directly in its body and can charge even a powerful laptop.

Retractable cable handles 140 W, power bank delivers 250 W total

As reported by the Chinese server ITHome, the new product offers three outputs. The first is a retractable 70 cm USB-C cable, the second is a classic USB-C port, and the third is a USB-A port. According to the manufacturer, both USB-C outputs can handle 140 W each, while the USB-A port can deliver up to 120 W.

However, the 250 W in the name is the sum of all outputs simultaneously. Thus, a single device will receive a maximum of 140 W. Even so, this is sufficient for powerful gaming laptops. Of course, it will have no trouble charging phones of various brands. It can also charge itself quickly, with an input power of up to 140 W. Xiaomi promises that it will replenish approximately 49% of its capacity in half an hour.

Display, app, and finding a lost power bank

The power bank features a hidden color display that shows the remaining capacity, current charging and discharging power, temperature, and battery status. The Mi Home app offers a more detailed overview, and thanks to Xiaomi Find support, you can locate the power bank even if you forget it somewhere. Its dimensions are 163.8 × 58.3 × 46.2 mm; Xiaomi has not yet specified its weight.

The August leak was accurate on almost everything, only estimating the capacity around 27,000 mAh. Officially, it is 25,000 mAh, with the 97.36 Wh energy rating being correct. Compared to its predecessor, the 212W HyperCharge, the new model is more powerful and also features a built-in cable. However, you will pay significantly more for it.

Will we see it in the Czech Republic?

It’s not clear yet. However, its predecessor did reach us: the 212W HyperCharge Power Bank arrived in the Czech Republic last spring with a price of 1,999 CZK. A direct conversion of the new product’s Chinese price gives about 3,240 CZK, but the Czech price may differ due to different taxes and margins.

Those who don’t want to wait and are looking for a power bank with a built-in cable right away can opt for the Anker Power Bank 25K 165W, which we thoroughly tested. At Alza, it costs 2,190 CZK at the time of writing, or 1,752 CZK with code ALZADNY20. While it has lower power, it is available immediately.

Would you carry a power bank in your backpack that can also charge a laptop?
