Mini LED backlighting is no longer exclusive to more expensive Xiaomi models. A new line of Xiaomi TV X Mini LED has appeared on the manufacturer’s Czech website, offering the technology with local dimming and quantum dots from 8,499 CZK for the 43-inch model. This creates a cheaper tier below this year’s TV S Mini LED 2026 series, which, however, cuts back in several aspects.

Four models starting at 8,499 CZK

The series has four diagonals. The smallest 43-inch version costs 8,499 CZK, 55 inches costs 11,499 CZK, 65 inches 15,499 CZK, and the largest 75-inch model 19,999 CZK.

The base is the same for all models. Xiaomi states a 4K QD-Mini LED panel with native 60 Hz, 93% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and support for HDR10+, HLG, and Filmmaker mode. Dolby Vision is not found in the specifications. Inside, a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage is at work, with Google TV as the system, featuring Google Assistant, Google Cast, and Apple AirPlay support.

The features are complemented by three HDMI ports, one of which is HDMI 2.1 with eARC and ALLM, as well as USB 2.0, Ethernet, optical output, CI+ slot, and DVB-T2/C/S2 tuners. Wirelessly, the TV connects via dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. The body is 66 mm thick and has a metal frame.

How individual sizes differ

Besides dimensions and price, there is one significant difference between the models. The smallest 43-inch version does not have the Game Boost 120 Hz gaming mode, which larger siblings offer for HDMI signals at 1080p or 1440p resolution. The overview page also does not mention the quartet of speakers that Xiaomi talks about for larger diagonals. However, the technical specifications for all four models uniformly state only “stereo” and do not specify speaker power.

Also, pay attention to the stand. The TV stands on two widely spaced feet, so the cabinet under the 75-inch model must be at least 1.28 meters wide.

How does the TV X differ from the TV S Mini LED 2026 series?

The difference is best seen on the 65-inch models, where both series are listed side-by-side on the Xiaomi website. The TV S Mini LED 65 2026 costs 18,999 CZK, which is 3,500 CZK more than the new TV X Mini LED 65. The processor, memory, ports, and system are, however, the same.

The main difference is in the backlighting. For the S series, Xiaomi states 384 local dimming zones and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, while for the TV X, it only mentions “many independent zones” and does not disclose the specific number of zones or brightness. It can therefore be assumed that the cheaper series will not be as bright in HDR content. The lower power consumption, 190 W versus 280 W, may also be indicative.

The S series also features ambient light and color temperature sensors, which automatically adjust the brightness and color tone of the image. Xiaomi also mentions hybrid dimming at a frequency of 20 kHz, which is gentler on the eyes. For audio, the S series specifies two 15 W speakers, while the TV X does not disclose power output.

However, the cheaper model has an advantage in one aspect. The TV X is 15 mm thinner and has a one-piece metal frame with a brushed front, while the S series relies on bezels that are almost invisible on three sides. Conversely, the S series offers more sizes, with the Czech Xiaomi website listing it in 55, 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches, whereas the TV X ends at 75 inches and starts at 43.

The new televisions can be ordered on the official Xiaomi e-shop.

Is the cheaper Xiaomi TV X Mini LED enough for you, or will you pay extra for the brightness and sensors of the S series?
