Xiaomi has expanded its audio portfolio with the new Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro, which is sold in China for 369 yuan (approximately 1,100 CZK converted). The new product targets desktop and laptop users through the Xiaomi Youpin platform. Customers can choose between the Graphite Black and Metallic Silver color variants.

Four Drivers and Golden Ear Certification

The Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro features a cylindrical body with a metal mesh cover that protects the four speakers. Specifically, it includes two 10W oval drivers complemented by a pair of passive bass radiators. Xiaomi positioned the speakers at a 53-degree angle, which corresponds to the natural ear position when sitting at a desk.

The soundbar underwent blind listening tests and received CGEC Golden Ear certification. It features a DSP digital audio processor, which, together with a digital amplifier, creates a fully digital signal chain. The result is minimal noise while preserving details across various types of content.

Five Sound Modes for Every Situation

The device offers 5 preset EQ modes optimized for various scenarios:

RGB Backlighting with Synchronization

Xiaomi integrated 24 RGB LED diodes into the speaker body, offering six lighting effects including Aurora 2.0, Neon 2.0, and Starry Flash. The lighting effects automatically synchronize with the music being played, creating a dynamic atmosphere. Lights can be controlled via buttons on the top or through software.

Triple Connectivity and C-Hub Software

The Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro supports three connection methods for maximum compatibility. A USB port ensures digital transmission from Windows and macOS computers, Bluetooth 5.3 enables wireless connection with phones and tablets, while a 3.5mm AUX input serves for analog sources.

For advanced settings, the accompanying C-Hub software allows detailed customization of sound profiles and lighting effects. The software is available for both Windows and macOS and provides a graphic equalizer with the option to save custom presets.

Built-in Microphone for Video Calls

The soundbar includes an integrated microphone with AEC technology (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) to suppress echo during video calls. On the rear panel, there is a 3.5mm input for connecting an external microphone, which will be appreciated by streamers or users working from home.

Control is provided by a multifunctional rotary knob on the side, along with two buttons on the top. These elements allow switching modes, input channels, adjusting volume, and controlling RGB backlighting. The bottom part includes four anti-slip pads for stable placement on a desk.
