Xiaomi unveiled a router with timeless features. The BE19000 Pro supports brutal Wi-Fi 7 speeds and the 6GHz band

While most households still manage with a gigabit connection, Xiaomi is already looking several years ahead. The Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro has appeared on the manufacturer’s global website, combining the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard with a pair of 10-gigabit Ethernet ports. This device makes sense primarily for those who want to be ready for the arrival of faster internet, or who already need extremely fast data transfers within their local network.

Tri-band Connectivity with Speeds Over 18 Gbps

The Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro utilizes a tri-band wireless architecture including 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and now also 6 GHz bands. The total theoretical speed reaches 18,656 Mbps, which is more than double that of the previous generation of Wi-Fi 6 routers. Individual bands are designed for different types of devices – 2.4 GHz for smart home, 5 GHz for TVs and streaming, while 6 GHz targets demanding applications such as VR gaming or working with large files.

Thanks to MLO (Multi-Link Operation) technology, the router can aggregate multiple bands simultaneously to achieve peak speeds of up to 4.3 Gbps when connecting compatible devices. It also supports 4K QAM modulation, which increases data transmission density by 20% compared to the previous generation.

Wired Connectivity for Demanding Users

The router features a total of six Ethernet ports with an aggregated bandwidth of 30 Gbps. A pair of 10GE ports allows connecting devices with a 10-gigabit network card, while four 2.5GE ports will serve for more common network devices. The manufacturer states that transferring a 40GB file on a local network takes only 52 seconds, and a 70GB project file transfers in 90 seconds.

For expanding storage options, there’s an M.2 slot compatible with NVMe SSDs in sizes 2230 to 2280, and a USB-A port for connecting external drives. The router supports file sharing via the Samba protocol.

AI Optimization and Mesh Network

At the heart of the router is a quad-core Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 processor, which powers three AI functions. AI anti-interference automatically analyzes surrounding networks and minimizes interference, AI Mesh roaming ensures a seamless transition between routers with a delay of only 1–2 seconds, and AI power management optimizes energy consumption.

The router supports creating a Mesh network with up to 10 devices and is compatible with most older Xiaomi and Redmi routers supporting Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7. In total, it can serve up to 1,000 network devices.

Smart Home Hub

The Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro also functions as a Bluetooth Mesh 2.0 gateway, allowing connection of up to 300 Xiaomi Bluetooth devices – from smart locks to temperature sensors and doorbells. Compared to the previous generation gateway, it offers 150% faster response and 180% shorter pairing time.

It also features NFC tap-to-connect support for easy phone connection without password entry, and integration with the Xiaomi Home app for comprehensive network management, including parental controls.

Dual Cooling and Vertical Design

The router uses 12 built-in antennas combined with 12 high-performance signal amplifiers for 360° coverage. Heat dissipation is handled by a combination of passive heatsinks and an active fan with a total cooling area of 86,258 mm². Users can switch between silent, standard, and performance modes in the app.

The vertical design with a matte finish is intended to blend into modern interiors while ensuring optimal airflow.

Who is this router for?

The Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro is a device for a specific group of users. It will be particularly appreciated by owners of 10-gigabit connections, creatives and small studios working with large files on a local network, demanding gaming households with VR headsets, or those building an extensive Xiaomi smart home ecosystem.

Conversely, for an average household with a gigabit connection and a few devices, it’s an unnecessary overkill. Most current phones, laptops, or TVs do not yet support Wi-Fi 7, so you will only utilize the router’s full potential in a few years. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the price, but given the features, a sum in the higher thousands of Czech crowns can be expected.
