Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has expanded its home audio portfolio with a new soundbar, the TV Speaker 5.1.2, targeting more demanding listeners. This new product stands out with its physical implementation of 5.1.2-channel surround sound and a total power output of up to 490 W. In the Chinese market, the soundbar is available for 1,999 yuan, which is approximately 5,800 CZK.

True Surround Sound with a Powerful Subwoofer

The Xiaomi TV Speaker 5.1.2 offers physical 5 channels plus a subwoofer and two upward-firing speakers. The integrated subwoofer has a power output of 120 W, while the system’s total peak power reaches the aforementioned 490 W. This ensures sufficient sound headroom even for larger rooms.

The soundbar supports modern audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which can utilize the upward-firing speakers to create a three-dimensional sound field. This gives you the feeling that sound is moving around you when watching movies or playing games.

Rich Connectivity for Every Device

In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi has not forgotten anything. The soundbar features an HDMI eARC interface for lossless audio transmission from the TV and supports 4K at 120 Hz video passthrough. It also includes VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) technologies, which will be especially appreciated by gamers.

For older devices or alternative connections, Optical and Coaxial inputs are available, wireless connectivity is provided by Bluetooth, and an NFC chip can be used for quick pairing with a phone. Music can be played directly from a flash drive via the USB port.
