Xiaomi unveiled an ultra-thin magnetic power bank. It has a stylish design and aims to win over Apple users too

Chinese giant Xiaomi last week introduced new accessories alongside the Xiaomi 17 series. Attention was also drawn to the new magnetic power bank Power Bank Magnetic Ultra-Thin 5000 15W, which, with its thickness of just 6 millimeters, is among the thinnest on the market. Apple may have served as inspiration this time too, as it also brought a slim power bank for 2,690 CZK to the market with the recently launched iPhone Air.

Slim Design and Magnetic Attachment Option

The new power bank from Xiaomi primarily impresses with its compact dimensions. With a thickness of 6 mm, it ranks among the absolute top in the ultra-thin power bank category. The 5,000 mAh capacity is certainly not a record, but it will suffice for emergency phone charging. Thanks to its magnetic attachment, the power bank adheres to the back of a compatible phone and holds firmly even during normal use.

Xiaomi equipped the power bank with 15W wireless charging via magnetic connection. If you prefer classic wired charging, you have up to 22.5W of power available, which ensures faster energy replenishment. Thanks to this, the power bank can charge most phones from zero to 50% in approximately 30 minutes.

Xiaomi Openly Targets iPhone Owners Too

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun explicitly emphasized during the presentation that the power bank is not only intended for Xiaomi phones. In its materials, the brand regularly highlights that the new product is fully compatible, for example, with the entire recently launched iPhone 17 series, including the base model, Pro, and Pro Max variants. The magnetic attachment works thanks to the MagSafe standard, which Apple introduced with the iPhone 12 series and which other manufacturers are gradually adopting.

Availability and Price

The Xiaomi Power Bank Magnetic Ultra-Thin 5000 15W was launched in China at a price of 299 yuan, which translates to approximately 870 CZK.

Xiaomi has not yet provided information on global market availability, including the Czech Republic. If the product were to reach us, it would likely arrive early next year along with Xiaomi 17 and other new products.
