Technology giant Xiaomi is introducing a new generation of smart doorbells. The Smart Doorbell 4 and the more advanced Smart Doorbell 4 Pro have just appeared in Chinese stores, where local interested parties can pre-order them. The basic model costs 299 yuan (approximately 900 CZK in conversion), while the more advanced Pro version costs 499 yuan (about 1,200 CZK). Official sales start on July 21, and it is likely that at least one of the models will eventually make its way to European countries, including the Czech Republic.

Dual Cameras for Better Overview

Both new smart doorbell models offer a dual camera system, providing a significantly better overview of what’s happening outside your door. The basic Smart Doorbell 4 is equipped with a setup featuring a main 3Mpx sensor and an accompanying 1Mpx lens. The main camera boasts a wide field of view of 160 degrees, while the secondary offers a viewing angle of 108 degrees.

The premium model Smart Doorbell 4 Pro elevates image quality with a 5Mpx main camera and a 2Mpx secondary sensor. Both cameras provide a field of view exceeding 150 degrees, ensuring you miss almost nothing happening outside your home. Furthermore, both doorbells boast night vision with a range of 5 meters, reliably capturing visitors even in the dark.

Battery That Lasts for Months

Among the main advantages of the new smart doorbells is their long battery life. The basic model includes a 5100mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should last up to four months in a typical usage scenario without needing a recharge. The Pro version goes even further, offering a nearly double 9800mAh battery with a declared battery life of up to six months.

Charging is convenient via a USB-C port, a standard that Xiaomi implements across its product portfolio. The devices connect to the home network via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with support for the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard, ensuring a more stable connection with lower latency.

Smart Features with AI Support

The new Xiaomi doorbells boast a range of advanced features. Both models offer person detection and two-way voice communication, including the option to change your voice. The basic model is equipped with one infrared sensor for motion detection, while the Pro version features a pair of these sensors for even more precise activity capture.

The Pro model further excels with its ability to recognize packages, identify couriers, and even detect pets. Unlike the basic version, which offers only one month of free facial recognition, the Pro version provides this feature for free throughout its usage. For recording storage, it features 32GB of internal memory, complemented by free three-day cloud storage available for both models.

Integration with the Xiaomi Ecosystem

The doorbells naturally integrate into the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem, and there’s the option to set up various automations and scenarios. For example, when the doorbell detects a visitor, it can automatically turn on lights in the hallway or send a notification to a smart display. For users who already own other Xiaomi smart home products, the new doorbells are an ideal addition.

Don’t Want to Wait? Xiaomi Offers Model 3S in the Czech Republic

The Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S is currently available on the Czech market, offering a range of advanced features. The doorbell boasts 2K resolution for crystal-clear images and an ultra-wide 180° viewing angle that captures visitors from head to toe. It features IP65 water and dust resistance, a 5200mAh battery with up to 4 months of battery life, and the option for wired connection. It also includes free 72-hour cloud storage, smart motion detection with notifications, two-way communication, and an indoor chime with adjustable volume. For users looking for a more affordable alternative to the new models, this doorbell can be an ideal choice with most of the key features offered by the new series.
