Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Buds 8 Pro. It promises intelligent noise cancellation and flagship sound quality

Shortly after Xiaomi brought the affordable Redmi Buds 8 Lite headphones to the Czech market without much fanfare, the brand in China began drawing attention to a more advanced model. The brand confirmed on the local microblogging platform Weibo the arrival of the Redmi Buds 8 Pro headphones, which will be unveiled together with the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 Max smartphone later this month.

Intelligent noise cancellation and reportedly flagship sound

With the new Redmi Buds 8 Pro, Xiaomi will rely on intelligent noise cancellation, which will automatically adjust the ANC intensity according to the surrounding environment. Users will thus not have to manually switch between modes. The manufacturer also mentions flagship-level sound, but given that Redmi headphones have never targeted the most demanding users, this is likely more of a marketing claim than a reflection of true reality.

From the promotional materials, it is evident that the headphones retain a classic design with a stem and silicone ear tips. They will be available in three color variants: blue-grey, black, and white.

In the Czech Republic, you can currently get Redmi Buds 8 Lite

While Czech customers will have to wait for the Redmi Buds 8 Pro, they can already opt for the cheaper Redmi Buds 8 Lite for 599 CZK. These offer hybrid ANC with attenuation up to 42 dB, Bluetooth 5.4, and 8 hours of playback on a single charge. Xiaomi used a 12.4mm driver with a titanium diaphragm and IP54 certification against sweat and rain.

Xiaomi has not yet revealed when the Redmi Buds 8 Pro will arrive in Europe.
