Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. It looks beautiful and will get an insanely large battery

On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Xiaomi revealed the design of the upcoming smartphone Redmi Turbo 5 Max. If it looks familiar to you, it’s no coincidence – the phone visually strikingly resembles last year’s Redmi Turbo 4 Pro model, which arrived here under the designation POCO X7 Pro.

Giant battery and flagship chip

The main draw of the new device will be its 9,000mAh battery, which will make it the phone with the largest capacity in Xiaomi’s entire portfolio. The manufacturer also claims that thanks to optimizations and an energy-efficient chipset, it will offer endurance comparable to a 10,000mAh battery. Performance will be handled by the freshly introduced MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, which promises flagship-level performance.

The rear side of the phone in the Ocean Breeze Blue color variant houses a pill-shaped camera module with a 50Mpx main sensor and a secondary camera, likely an ultrawide one. The flat side frame is made of CNC metal, while the back is made of fiberglass.

When can we expect it?

Redmi has not yet revealed the official launch date, but in one of the teasers, it hinted that it could be this month. According to current speculations, the phone should head to global markets under the designation POCO X8 Pro Max. Whether it will also come to the Czech Republic and at what price is not yet clear.
