The last laptop directly under the Xiaomi brand – the Book 14 model – arrived in 2023, and since then, the company has only quietly updated the RedmiBook series. But now, the Chinese giant is pulling out the big guns and introducing the Xiaomi Book Pro 14, an ultrathin machine with the latest Intel Panther Lake generation processors. The new product could head to global markets, although specific dates or prices are not yet known. Weight just over a kilogram Latest Intel Panther Lake Processors Cooling for 50W Performance Ports and Connectivity Availability and Price Weight just over a kilogram With the new laptop, Xiaomi focused primarily on minimizing weight while maintaining a robust construction. The device’s body consists of a one-piece die-cast magnesium alloy frame, which is more than 30% lighter than traditional aluminum. The bottom cover is made of 3D molded carbon fiber, and the internal keyboard support plate uses a titanium alloy. The result is a laptop weighing 1.08 kg and with a thickness of 14.95 mm, placing it among the lightest 14-inch laptops on the market. Xiaomi states that it leveraged its experience from smartphone design, where efficient use of space is crucial. The laptop will be available in three color variants: white, gray (Elegant Gray), and blue (Soft Fog Blue). Latest Intel Panther Lake Processors At the heart of the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 are processors from the latest generation of Intel Core Ultra with Panther Lake architecture. The highest configuration will offer the Core Ultra X7 358H with 16 cores in a 4+8+4 layout, a maximum clock speed of 4.8 GHz, and 18 MB of L3 cache. This chip also includes integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, which, according to Xiaomi, should be able to handle AAA games at 60 FPS. For less demanding users, a variant with the Core Ultra 5 325 processor will be available, featuring 8 cores (4 P-Core + 4 LPE-Core) and a clock speed of up to 4.5 GHz. This chip is manufactured using the Intel 18A process. Regarding memory, according to earlier leaks, configurations of 24 GB + 1 TB and 32 GB + 1 TB should be available. Cooling for 50W Performance Despite its ultrathin design, Xiaomi promises solid performance. The laptop is equipped with a cooling system featuring a 10,000 mm² vapor chamber, two silent fans, and three air channels. Thanks to this, the machine should maintain stable 50W performance even under heavy load – reportedly even when running on battery. The first benchmark leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo, as noted by Notebookcheck. In the Cinebench R24 test, the laptop scored 124 points in single-core and 1,103 points in multi-core. In the graphics tests, it achieved 7,163 points in 3DMark Time Spy and 6,872 points in Fire Strike Extreme. Ports and Connectivity From the promotional materials, it is evident that the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will offer a decent collection of ports. On the sides, we find HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack, one USB-A, and two USB-C ports, one of which supports Thunderbolt. Availability and Price The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will first be launched in China; the exact date has not yet been announced. A global launch should follow, but specific dates or prices for the European market are not known. Are you interested in the new Xiaomi Book Pro 14?
