The Chinese manufacturer has scheduled an extensive global presentation for Saturday, February 28, during which it will unveil at least eight new products. From flagship phones to tablets and watches, to headphones and an electric scooter – let’s summarize everything we can expect. Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra: a new era of photography Xiaomi Pad 8: tablets with PC features Xiaomi Watch 5: Wear OS and EMG sensor Xiaomi Tag: a cheaper alternative to AirTag Redmi Buds 8 Pro: triple drivers and 55 dB ANC Magnetic Power Bank and Electric Scooter 6 Ultra Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra: a new era of photography The main stars of the presentation will undoubtedly be the flagship phones Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The basic model will target users preferring more compact dimensions with a 6.3″ display and a surprisingly large 6,330mAh battery with 100W charging. Under its hood, we will find the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the photographic equipment will rely on Leica Summilux optics with three 50Mpx sensors. The Ultra version will then be a true camera phone for demanding users, featuring a 200Mpx Leica telephoto lens, a 6.9″ display, and 16 GB of RAM. Czech customers can look forward to bonuses including Spotify Premium for 4 months free or free display repair during the first 6 months. Xiaomi Pad 8: tablets with PC features The Xiaomi Pad 8 series features 11.2″ LCD displays with 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate in an ultra-thin body just 5.75 mm thick. The base model is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pro version received last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite. Both models will run on HyperOS 3, which should offer improved screen splitting and full-fledged versions of office applications. Xiaomi Watch 5: Wear OS and EMG sensor We were the first in the world to report on the features of the global version of the Xiaomi Watch 5. It will arrive with Google’s Wear OS operating system, which will open access to the Google Play Store. It will be equipped with a 1.54″ AMOLED display with 1,500 nits brightness and a 316L stainless steel case. The biggest novelty will probably be the EMG sensor, which can capture electrical signals from hand muscles and convert them into control gestures. The dual-chip architecture with Snapdragon W5 and BES2800 processors is said to ensure a battery life of up to 6 days in normal mode. According to our original information, it should cost 7,990 CZK in the Czech Republic, but now we know there is also a certain chance that this amount has been changed to 6,990 CZK. Xiaomi Tag: a cheaper alternative to AirTag The Xiaomi Tag Bluetooth locator uses Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC with support for both Google Find Hub and Apple Find My. The compact device, weighing just 10 grams, offers IP67 resistance and a CR2032 battery life of up to 390 days. In Europe, it will cost 17.99 euros (approximately 450 CZK) per piece, and a four-pack will be 59.99 euros (1,450 CZK). Redmi Buds 8 Pro: triple drivers and 55 dB ANC The Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless headphones boast a design with triple coaxial drivers – an 11mm bass driver with a titanium diaphragm is complemented by a pair of 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic treble drivers. Hybrid ANC offers noise reduction of up to 55 dB with 20 levels of adjustment. Battery life is 8.5 hours with ANC off, and 35 hours with the charging case. In the Czech Republic, the new product should cost 1,799 CZK. Magnetic Power Bank and Electric Scooter 6 Ultra Xiaomi will also introduce a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank with 15W wireless charging in an ultra-thin design. Details about this product are not yet known. A surprise is the unveiling of the previously unannounced Electric Scooter 6 Ultra. The flagship model will offer a 500W motor with a peak power of 1,200 W, a 585 Wh battery, and a range of up to 75 km. The load capacity is 140 kg, and the scooter will be available exclusively in yellow for 799.99 euros (about 19,400 CZK). Which of the products are you most looking forward to?
