A book light doesn’t have to take up space on your nightstand. The AlzaPower LRC30 clips directly onto a book or shelf, and thanks to its built-in battery, it doesn’t need a cable plugged into an outlet while reading. You can now get the black variant on Alza with code ALZADNY25 for 299 CZK. Particularly interesting is the ability to direct not only the entire arm but also the side parts of the light.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: reading at home and on the go, when you want a small light with its own power supply and clip attachment.
⚠️ Consider: with a luminous flux of up to 55 lumens, treat it as local book illumination, not as the main lighting for a desk.
💡 Without the code, it costs 399 CZK; code ALZADNY25 reduces the price to 299 CZK. On Alza, it has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 104 reviews.

You can rotate the light without moving the clip

The flexible arm and swivel joint allow you to direct the light onto the pages you’re reading. The head itself has three parts: the left and right sections can be tilted separately. This way, you can adjust the lamp to the book’s position, even if the clip remains attached to a shelf or table edge.

You can adjust the brightness in five steps and the light color in three modes, from warmer to cooler shades. It is controlled directly by buttons. For evening reading, the timer is useful: it turns off the lamp after 30 minutes.

Battery life depends on brightness, charging cable is included

Inside is a 1,000 mAh battery. Alza states a battery life of 8–80 hours depending on the set brightness; expect shorter endurance with stronger illumination. A discharge indicator signals the battery status.

The included USB-A to USB-C cable can be connected to a computer or an adapter with a 5 V / 1 A output. According to the seller, recharging takes 2.5–3 hours.

Do you use a clip-on lamp or a classic desk lamp for reading?
