The smart dryer Samsung DV90T6240LH/S7 is back on an interesting price promotion after a long time. The model with a 9 kg capacity and advanced smart features can now be purchased for 12,990 CZK instead of the original 17,592 CZK (according to Hlídač shopů). The last time the dryer reached a similar price was at the beginning of September, when it dropped just below 11,000 CZK.

Samsung has opted for intelligent control with AI Control, which adapts to your habits. The dryer gradually learns which programs you use most often and suggests suitable settings based on the type of laundry. Through the SmartThings app, you can control the appliance from anywhere – set a program, monitor the drying progress, or receive notifications about cycle completion directly on your phone.

An interesting feature is Auto Cycle Link, which automatically sets the ideal drying program based on the previous washing cycle, provided you also have a connected Samsung washing machine. The AI Energy mode then intelligently optimizes consumption based on your usage patterns and can save up to 20% energy. The dryer also supports voice control and displays status information on the screens of Samsung smart TVs or watches.

Technologies for Gentle Drying

The DV90T6240LH/S7 model uses a modern heat pump with roughly medium efficiency (energy class C). The OptimalDry system with three sensors continuously monitors laundry moisture and automatically adjusts drying time. This prevents over-drying and saves energy. The dryer also notifies you when the heat exchanger needs cleaning.

For hygienically clean laundry, the Hygiene Care program uses hot air to eliminate up to 99% of bacteria, dust mites, and allergens. Samsung provides an extended 20-year warranty on the inverter motor. The dryer has internal drum lighting, a child lock, and a delayed start option. With a weight of 50 kg and dimensions of 85 × 60 × 65 cm, it fits into standard spaces.

The reviews also mention a melodic chime instead of the classic beep after cycle completion – some find it pleasant, while others might find it disruptive. However, the chime can be turned off in the settings. Among the reviews, we also find warnings about problems that appeared only after the warranty expired, mainly water leakage or excessive noise. However, these were likely defects in specific units, as the product’s return rate according to Alza is only 0.49%.
