This isn’t a keyboard for everyone – and that’s exactly how it should be. The Keychron Q5 Max targets power users who want hardware tailored to their needs, not the other way around. The all-aluminum body weighs over 2 kg and feels like an investment for years.

A Modular Tool, Not Consumer Electronics

The keyboard features a 96% layout with US localization and a hot-swappable design – you can replace switches without soldering. Gateron Jupiter Red are linear with a lifespan of 80 million keystrokes. Acoustic foams (IXPE, PET, Latex) and double silicone gaskets ensure quieter and more pleasant typing than with standard gaming keyboards.

Connectivity offers three options: Bluetooth 5.1 for up to three devices, a 2.4GHz dongle with a 1000 Hz response rate, and a USB-C cable. The 4000 mAh battery lasts up to 180 hours without RGB or 100 hours with backlighting. The programmable knob controls volume, zoom, or custom macros via the Keychron Launcher web application.
