A six-millimeter-thin phone has arrived in the Czech Republic. The Nubia Air Pro has 512 GB and costs 10,490 CZK

The Nubia brand belongs to ZTE and appears rather sporadically in the Czech Republic. The Nubia Air Pro 5G has now arrived on Alza for 10,490 CZK and brings a combination rarely seen in this price range: a body less than six millimeters thin, 512GB storage, and a display that shines up to 4,500 nits.

Six millimeters that don’t compromise durability

With ultra-thin phones, it usually holds true that slimness comes at the cost of fragility or a small battery. The Air Pro bypasses this compromise: with a thickness of 5.99 mm and a weight of 172 grams, it houses a 5,000 mAh battery thanks to new silicon-carbon technology, which allows more capacity to be packed into a smaller space. And it also carries a trio of IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, meaning resistance to submersion as well as pressurized and hot water.

The display is another strong point. The 6.77″ AMOLED with a resolution of 2720 × 1224, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits is readable even in direct sunlight and is among the brightest panels you’ll find at this price point. It also features 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, which protects eyes when reading at night, and Gorilla Glass 7i protective glass.

Where the realistic limits lie

Let’s be honest about performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 is a six-nanometer octa-core chip with four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz – it’s perfectly sufficient for everyday use, social media, streaming, and light gaming, but its performance is more akin to older mid-range models. Those who play demanding titles should look for a phone with a more powerful chip.

Photography-wise, it features a 108Mpx main sensor with an f/1.72 aperture, complemented by a macro lens and a 32Mpx selfie camera. Alza’s specifications also mention a second 108Mpx wide-angle lens, but foreign databases only refer to a pair of rear cameras. Stabilization is electronic only, and video can handle 4K at 30 frames.

Two practical notes: the phone does not have a memory card slot and the charging adapter is missing from the package, even though it supports 45W fast charging. It runs on Android 16 and includes NFC for payments, Bluetooth 5.4, and an in-display fingerprint reader. At 10,490 CZK, it’s an interesting alternative to mainstream brands – especially for those who want a light, durable phone with enormous storage and don’t need gaming performance.
