A sixty-five-inch 4K TV for under nine thousand is a price record, but it’s important to be honest about it. The Philips 65PUS7000 now costs 8,714 CZK with code 2026ALZAEXTRA40 instead of 14,524 CZK; at launch, it cost over 16,000. However, customers on Alza give it only 3.1 out of 5 stars, and specific problems are repeatedly mentioned in reviews.

👍 Buy it if you need the largest possible screen for the lowest possible price – for example, for a cottage, workshop, or children’s room.

What you get for under nine thousand

The features look decent for this price: 4K resolution, HDR10+, local dimming, and three HDMI ports. The Titan OS system is a simpler alternative to Google TV and has all essential applications, including Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, as well as Czech Oneplay and Prima+. It also includes a gaming mode with VRR, and the sound supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Reviewers agree that for its size, the TV is surprisingly light – under 14.5 kg makes wall mounting easier – and one Slovak user also praises the sound: “great picture and quality, clear sound with good bass”.

Why it only has 3.1 stars

Reviews are split into two camps, and it’s fair to show both. Several customers are satisfied – “for that price, an absolutely amazing TV, great picture and sound” – but there are more critical voices, and they are specific. The most serious issue is picture quality: one reviewer, who tested four 65″ TVs in this price range within a year, wrote that this one has “undoubtedly the worst picture”, with uneven backlighting and grayish spots in the corners. Slow system loading is also mentioned, and one owner reported horizontal lines appearing on the right side of the screen after a month.

The second group of complaints concerns delivery – three customers describe receiving the TV with a cracked panel, one even repeatedly. With large diagonals, this risk is generally higher, but it appears notably often here, so unpack and check the TV immediately upon delivery while the return period is active. A practical detail at the end: there’s an Ambilight button on the remote control, but this model does not have backlighting – the button doesn’t work, and several people called this misleading.

For eight and a half thousand, it’s a cheap way to get 65 inches – but you’re buying it for the size, not the picture.
