A tablet on the table, next to it a keyboard, a monitor adapter, and a card reader. The AXAGON HMC-KB-CS combines several of these small items into one thing: what looks like an ordinary compact keyboard hides a full USB-C dock. And right now, it’s a bit more affordable. Alza offers it for 1 799 Kč, while the exact same variant with Czech and Slovak descriptions costs 2 047 Kč at PCMAX. Alza is thus cheaper even before factoring in shipping.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: A supported tablet or laptop, if you want to carry the keyboard and necessary connectors together.
⚠ Consider: Verify your USB-C’s video output. The connector alone doesn’t mean you can connect a monitor.
💡 The price of 1 799 Kč is valid without a code. PCMAX has the same model and EAN for 2 047 Kč.

Mouse, monitor, and photos from a card without an extra box

The body accommodates three USB-A ports, HDMI, SD and microSD card readers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. With a single cable, you connect the keyboard to your computer and plug peripherals directly into it. When working with photos or moving your laptop to a desk, it’s quite a clever way to save yourself a separate hub.

The keys have Czech and Slovak descriptions and white backlighting with four brightness levels. The body itself weighs 353 grams; the package includes a 60cm USB-C cable and a travel case. However, count on a wired connection. This keyboard does not connect to a tablet via Bluetooth.

Samsung DeX is an interesting option, but USB-C is not enough

With a compatible Samsung supporting DeX and video output, you can use a desktop-like environment on a monitor. However, this is not a feature that the keyboard would provide to any phone. For HDMI, you need video output via USB-C, and for a maximum of 4K at 60 Hz, additionally a source with DisplayPort 1.4.

A separate USB-C input accepts Power Delivery up to 100 W. The connected charger powers both the device and the dock itself, so the figure cannot be understood as a guaranteed 100 W for a laptop. The charger and the connected device must also support PD.

Buyers praise the idea, but typing feel varies

In verified Alza reviews, one owner praises its functionality with a tablet, another its compactness and versatility. However, the latter also writes that he dislikes the greater force required to press the keys. Another buyer criticizes the weak backlighting. It is therefore an interesting accessory for a mobile workstation, whose keyboard may not suit everyone.

Do you use your tablet just for watching content, or do you also work on it?
