The MacBook Neo in the Czech Republic increased in price by three thousand across all variants. Apple announced the price adjustment on June 25, 2026, and according to MacRumors and 9to5Mac, it applies worldwide; specific amounts vary by local currency. How much the MacBook Neo increased in price In the Czech Republic, the basic MacBook Neo with 256GB storage and a keyboard without Touch ID now costs 19,990 CZK, which is 3000 CZK more than the previous 16,990 CZK. The higher configuration with 512 GB and Touch ID increased in price from 19,990 CZK to 22,990 CZK. The new price of the basic version thus matched the previous price of the more expensive one. Let’s recall what the prices looked like at the start of sales and where they have moved now: 256 GB: 16,990 CZK → 19,990 CZK (+3000 CZK) 512 GB with Touch ID: 19,990 CZK → 22,990 CZK (+3000 CZK) student price from 14,290 CZK → 17,490 CZK (512 GB variant now 20,490 CZK) Why is Apple raising prices? According to Apple, the reason is the rising cost of components, especially operating and storage memory. CEO Tim Cook previously mentioned “enormous price increases” from suppliers and pointed to a global memory shortage, which is driving up demand for chips for AI servers. Street prices have been falling so far It is worth noting that the new figures are Apple’s official price list. However, among Czech retailers, the Neo had been rather decreasing in price since its spring launch – the 512 GB version could even be found for under 18,500 CZK on Heureka. Therefore, actual retail prices in e-shops may differ from Apple’s price list, and it will take some time before the price increase is reflected by all retailers. Specifications remain unchanged. According to Apple, the MacBook Neo offers a 13″ Liquid Retina display, an A18 Pro chip, 8 GB of unified memory, and fanless passive cooling. Four colors remain available – silver, blush, citrus yellow, and indigo. Would you buy the MacBook Neo even at a higher price, or would you wait for discounts from retailers?
