According to fresh information from the well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, OnePlus could soon expand its tablet portfolio with a more compact model. The OnePlus Pad 3 Mini should become an answer to the demand for smaller, yet powerful tablets, which have been scarce on the market in recent years but are now receiving attention again. The leak suggests that the device could appear in the first half of next year.

Powerful Hardware in a Compact Body

According to available information, the OnePlus Pad 3 Mini should run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which is traditionally introduced in the autumn. This suggests that despite its more compact size, it will be a premium device with no compromises on performance.

It is not yet clear what display size the OnePlus Pad 3 Mini will offer, but given the “Mini” designation and the mention of compactness, it can be expected to be a significantly smaller variant compared to the standard 13.2″ model. The leaker also mentions that the tablet could be launched simultaneously with a compact 6.3″ phone, the OnePlus 15T.

Currently in Prototype Phase

The leak indicates that the tablet is currently in the prototype phase, which means there is still a relatively long time until its potential market launch. This also explains why we do not yet have any more specific information about the display, battery, cameras, or other specifications. For comparison, it’s worth recalling what the current OnePlus Pad 3, which is already available on the Czech market, offers. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor combined with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage (a 16/512 GB variant is also available).

Other advantages include an eight-speaker audio system (4 woofers + 4 tweeters) with Dolby Atmos support, a large 12,140mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and Android 15 with the Oxygen OS 15 overlay. In terms of cameras, it offers a 13Mpx rear and an 8Mpx front camera. The tablet also supports a stylus and connectivity including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The basic variant of the OnePlus Pad 3 sells for 14,990 Kč in the Czech Republic.
